View Full Version : Am I the only one who thinks the Spurs/Warriors dream matchup may not happen?

Sorry, but I'm tired of everyone acting as if the first two rounds of the West playoffs are fait accompli.

Anything can happen. See Mavs/Suns 2007- they were supposed to clash, and neither made it that far. And injuries can play a role.

Nothing is guaranteed. The Thunder/Clippers/Blazers/Grizz will have a part in all this.

It's almost as if we're giving them a free pass to round 3.

Agreed. I think the Warriors will win it all, but a healthy Clippers and OKC can beat the Spurs in a 7 game series

I still can't believe there are people out there that think the Clippers and Thunder will do anything besides get bounced in the 2nd round. THEY. ARE. NOT. THAT. GOOD.

ESPECIALLY OKC. I will never understand all the f*cking hype they get. It's totally unwarranted.

And barring injuries, I don't see any team beating the Warriors four times in the post-season.

Only way it's possible for them not to matchup is if the Clippers end up as the 3rd seed and OKC ends up 4th (which won't happen).

In this case, if they both were to get past the 1st round then it's:

Warriors/Thunder
Spurs/Clippers

LAC has no chance against the Warriors but I think they might be the toughest team for the Spurs with Griffin healthy.

OKC is a better matchup for the Warriors than the Clippers but they'll still most likely lose.

Well, you never know. Spurs may choke in the first round like they did last year. :confusedshrug:

Those darn Warriors got "lucky" that the Spurs weren't good enough to get out the first round, right? :roll:
