I'll try to explain Kobe's ranking from my observations.

The vast majority of Sports/Basketball websites have Kobe ranked around number 12th. And from what I gather, these websites tried to be as honest as possible.

Now believe it or not, around 4 or 5 years ago, the vast majority of people on ISH did not have Kobe as a top ten player. But then one Summer a few of the Kobe stans put this insane effort of creating threads, casually mentioning Kobe as a top ten, as if it was as clear as day as Jordan being top 3. I kept calling it out and predicting that soon the majority of people on ISH were going to have Kobe in their top 10.

Now remember, the vast majority of non Kobe stans did not have Kobe listed in their top ten 4 to 5 years ago.

And seeing what was happening I kept calling it out, while predicting that soon most non Kobe stans on ISH will get influenced to automatically having Kobe on their top ten.

I believe it started happening after the Lakers got sweaped by the Mavericks. I kept asking, how does getting sweaped suddenly bumps you up to the top ten.

At least it's better than the casual fans on YouTube calling Kobe a Top 1.

This was based on my observations.

Whatever, I'll humor you. 4 time MVP, 5 straight finals, higher ppg, higher apg, higher rpg, higher fg%, higher 3P% (unreal right?), RoY, owns Kobe Head to Head, op is gay, higher per, espn said so, sports illustrated said so, I say so, Simon says, and op is gay

4 time mvp is bullshit since he played on Super stacked teams on 2 of them. 5 straight finals because of tha horrible east. Kobe defeated 24 50 plus wins teams while bronna only defeated 7. Bronna is 2/6 while Kobe is 5/7. Come on kid.

Yawn, you don't bullshit your way to 4 MVP's bro. You do bs your way to beating 50 win teams when you have the Most Dominant Ever at your side willing your to 3-Peats. LeBron plays second fiddle to no-one, Kobe isn't nearly alpha enough to claim such a feat (or even shoot 50% for a season)

LeBron never averaged for a season, less than 20 ppg. (+11 seasons)
4 mvps to Kobe's 1
2 Fmvps = Kobe 2 FMvps
5 straight finals (Last 5 nba finals)
Brought 2 different franchises to the nba finals
Won multiple MVPs with 2 different franchises
Youngest to 1000-20000 points
He won ROY, the same thing can not be said for Bean
2x nba champion
2/6, yes but made the greatest shooter in the game at the time (Ray Allen) leave arguably one of the greatest franchise ever to join him with the Miami Heat...

And I'm not even halfway done

by next year, Lebron will be the all time leader in points made in the playoffs.

He's top 5 in assists(#4)

by the time he's done he will be so dominant in every category.

Also, will pass Kobe in points even though Kobe has been to the playoffs 5 times more and attempted 805 FG more.

Is that really an achievement per say, I mean yeah it's good on LeBron and all but I don't see it as something that should be used in an argument with one player over the other lmao

I've never heard people say this in arguements for Wilt, Shaq, Kareem etc.

Honestly, people will have different criteria in such a subjective ranking as "Top 10". If someone values winning championships as the most important factor, then yeah, 5 rings does count a lot more than 2 rings.

I'm thinking people get way too worked up over other people's very personal and subjective "Top 10" lists.

At least when people make threads on "Top 10 hottest girls" or what not, everyone gets photos to debate over LOL. :D

One Player is an assassin that when equipped with the right team, can will you to victory. He can score in close games and take the last shot every time.

One player can be presented a "bad" team and mask all your teams deficiencies while guaranteeing your playoff success with the outside chance of an NBA finals.

Lebron can carry a team and be everything you don't have.

Kobe can maximize your team and be the icing on the cake.

Rings are given to Kobe.

Everything else is Lebron. He's been a top 20 player since his rookie year and consistently has proven to do whatever you need.

He will lead over Kobe in scoring one day...despite him not even shooting FG's as much as Kobe and other elite scorers.

Can LeBron carry a bad team now? He haven't carried a bad team since 2008.

^After this, nothing you say has any meaning.

LeBron's pure basketball impact clearly surpassed Kobe. LeBron had an unbroken run of clearly being the best player on earth....something Kobe never did.

Also, making the finals 6 times is an achievement, regardless of what Kobe fans say. He took some bum teams to the biggest stage.

I dislike Kobe, Bron, and both fanbases.....but I'm just calling as I see it.

Lebron now, would still carry a beat team to the playoffs. Not 2013 Lebron but still can give you 25-28PPG 7 and 7-8 assists while playing good defense and being the floor general.

Kobe in his prime years with no Gasol was good for 35-40 games.
