No team in the East has a spot set in stone.
Cleveland vs. Toronto = 1 and half game separation
Miami, Atlanta, Boston and Charlotte = Separated by one game
Indiana, Chicago and Detroit = Half game
As compared to the West.
Warriors four games in-front of the Spurs
Thunder four games in front of the Clippers
Grizz four and half behind Clippers and four and half in front of Blazers
Rockets and Mavs tied and Jazz two games behind both

It could play out very interesting. I reckon.

All I think anyone wants to see is a MIA-CLE matchup, preferably in the ECF. That could be as dramatic (but not nearly as epic) as a Spurs-Warriors WCF. Honestly though, I see Toronto snagging the 1 seed only to suffer a similar fate the Hawks suffered last year. Mia eliminated in 2nd round be either Cleveland or Toronto

Of the teams fighting for the 3rd seed, the Heat probably have the most favorable schedule. They play at SA and Portland, but they'll be favored in every other game. A 10-3 finish woul give them 50 wins, and I think they have a great shot to do it. The Heat play Boston the last day of the season. Depending on how things play out, that game could conceivably have a 3-6 seed swing.
