Interesting USA today article:

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/03/are-the-golden-state-warriors-getting-away-with-an-insane-number-of-illegal-screens

I'm not a warrors fan but it seems like maybe they're just under the microscope more than most.

What do ya'll think, is there truth to this hypothesis?

You say that because you only watch warriors games.
Watch other teams. They don't set moving screens.
Warriors sets moving screens every other possessions. It's part of their team.
They are a FRAUD team.

The Curry rules are going to happen next season if the Warriors win this year I think. The refs will get insanely rough on moving screens. Curry will get his own rules to further his own legacy.

But like I said, only if he wins this year. :pimp:

About as much as any other team :confusedshrug:

My Celtics used to do them in the halfcourt. Certain guys are good at timing setting the screen. KG did moving screens all the time he was just much better at making it tougher to call.

Perkins was so awkward with his movement that I believe he called for them more than KG (Also reputation)

I think what makes the Warriors more dangerous is they do it on the break and secondary break. Many times I see Green and Bogut just not even hide their intention.

Reading the NBA definition of the rule was interesting. I like that the article mentioned how vague the rule is, and a ref (or ex ref?) even suggested that the vagueness is part of the reason the Warriors are so successful with their screens. They make the referee think about whether or not it was legal.

BUT.... going back to the actual definition, there's nothing vague about it. You can't move laterally, or towards the opponent. And while you may move on the same path and trajectory as the opponent, you may only do so after assuming the stationary position.

That actually sounds really cut and dry. And I love that the actual rule refers to the stationary positions, and directly mentions moving with the opponent is fine, but not laterally... yet all the moving screens that I see are lateral movements or directly TOWARD the opponent. Nothing vague there.

And it's certainly not just the Warriors doing this, but they're the most "well known" team for doing so.

Yes. The Warriors are the only team this season that gets away with moving screens. Totally.

Take it easy, playa playa. I just find it funny you'd try to play like your team is in the exact same boat as every other team in the league. I'm not saying no other teams get away with moving screens, I'm just saying the Warriors seem to be getting away with some blatant ones that are usually called.

every team every day gets away with moving screens.
Even Duncan, a fundamentally flawless player sets up three or four moving screens a week.

Are the Warriors getting away with moving screens? :biggums:

Bruh, Is an elephant heavy?

I wouldn't even call them screens these guys literally down field block like NFL linemen on a screen pass or halfback pitch.

I've never seen anything like it.

Draymond literally tackles Rubio right in front of the ref and no call. It's completely bananas how anyone would be denying what's happening right now.
