Now I understand why Pippen went broke. Living the superstar lifestyle with nickles and dimes.

That's why they called him no tipping Pippen.

Pip made his money AFTER his Chicago days.

And whatever money the Bulls were paying MJ wasn't enough. He will make money for the Bulls franchise as long as the human race exists. That guy pulls in like $100-150 million even TODAY from all of his Nike/shoe deals.

Chicago ended up paying him somewhat when he came back in 2003, granted you can't put a price on what Scottie brought to the team back in the 90s, but still, decent gesture
The youngest of 17 children, Pippen has had a tough battle with money. When you combine the fact that pippen signed a stupid long term deal in 1991, family members riding him, and a crooked investment where he had $20 million stolen from him, Pip was basically flat broke when he came back to the Bulls in 2003. [Jerry] Reinsdorf gave him a big deal and even paid him for the two years he didn’t play, which he didn’t have to do.

Well, Michael made 30m + 33m in his last two years w/ the Bulls. He also himself averaged about 3-4m per prior.

I even read in The Jordan Rules that Pippen felt scammed and went to management dozens of times to go for an extension, but the Bulls held a lot of money back for Kukoc (who definitely wasn't going to come over back then), who they believed was as good as Jordan. This was in the years that the Bulls didn't care about winning, but just about making dollars and selling out the Chicago stadium.

Worth every penny.
When you win championships, you should get paid.
No one gives out a participation trophy for playing in the Finals.
