Rondo is a train wreck on defense this year, absolute garbage.

Lebrons defense has been very hit and miss too, he gets up for the big games, but most nights he's just coasting. And his transition defense is at times, embarrassing.

Whiteside is good now, but was trash for the first half of the year, the heats defense improved with him on the bench. And he still only plays 28 mpg.

Why is Whiteside being mentioned so much?

He's been better since the all-star break, but for the first half of the season the Heat were statistically better with him off the floor. He still has serious issues with PnR's, switches, and being out of position. His man defense is average at best. Being a good shot blocker =/= being a good defender. I think Whiteside WILL be a good defender in the future, but he's definitely not there yet.

Duncan has the best defensive metrics of any player in the whole fcking league this year.

He won't win DPOY because he hasn't played enough minutes, which is fine. But plenty of guys have made the All-D team playing around 25 MPG.

Don't be bitter that Duncan's still elite at defense. You know that defensive scheme (against ONE particular team) with the switching is not suited to a 40 year old with a bad knee.

If Duncan plays the rest of the games in this season, he will have played in 63 games - one less than Leonard played in last season when he won DPOY. Should Leonard not have been awarded DPOY playing only 64 games?
