Why do you give Utah a chance? They should be full strength by end of month. Iggy by March's end and Fetus maybe first weeks of April.

Depending on is the Spurs have lost at home yet, Pop might have his boys sitting that game.

Utah game is the second game of a back to back and the Jazz don't play the night before.

Even if they somehow lose to Utah, they can afford one more loss. Figure one is to the Spurs, probably @SAS.

Remember this team is undefeated at home, and just look at who they play at Oracle. They shouldn't lose any of those games, except maybe against the Spurs.

If they get through March undefeated I got 74-8.

Either way, I think it's unlikely they don't at least tie the 72 record.

This is such a silly thing to say in professional sports.

Any team can beat any other team on a given night. Upsets happen all the time.

That said, the April schedule looks fairly challenging, and it'll be interesting to see what kind of position those teams are in as far as needing to win their final games or not.

Theyre already in the history books with a bunch of other squads as nba champions. Only one team can be the winningest all time. Yeah itd be a disappointment if theyre gassed and dont go all the way in the postseason, but IMO you have to try for the record. It's a pretty significant achievement.

Main 3 are doing pretty good for minutes per game average as well. I think if they get rested for 1 or 2 games max each for the rest of the games, they shouldn't even be tired. Curry has been rested for 18 4th quarters now.

I'm going to say they win their next 8. :pimp:

Well its not really the minutes, more the nerves and excitement as it gets closer and if it actually happens there will be a big to-do, and probably lead to a bit of an emotional drain once it's over. I feel like if they miss the record it will make them that much hungrier in the postseason. If they get it, it will mentally feel like a milestone reached. Like the job is done. Even tho theyll tell themselves its not, I think itd be hard to psyche yourself up immediately for a new (post) season so to speak after putting all your focus into the sprint at the end for the record. Could leave them vulnerable. But we'll see.

The only reason I do NOT want the Wars to beat the Bulls record , because without a doubt it is the only record that distinguishes that the Bulls team was the best that ever played in the history of the league.
Matching up the Bulls against the current Wars the Bulls would illuminate them easily.

HOWEVER - what is good for bball is good for the league and that means kids as well as new fans can enjoy this Wars run, and become revenue fans for the league.

It's funny how breaking the record was a foregone conclusion not too long ago, but looking at the rest of the schedule, it's a lot less sure now. A tie seems a good bet as well.

I personally would like to see them break it. They've had an awesome year and it would dispell the notion that being on the West coast makes it too difficult to break that record.

I'm thinking both teams rest players in the 2nd Spurs/Warriors game. I think Spurs are better with their bench only, so Spurs win that one. First game I give to the Warriors. It will be close. I think they tie the record.

they aren't breaking the record. at best they will tie it. Gotta play the spurs twice so that could easily be two losses.....that's 9.......and I see a few trap games in there......Washington is pushing for a spot in the east.

damian lillard has basically became currys arch nemesis out west and that game will definitely be interesting.

Celtics play the way you have to play to beat a team like the warriors so they could definitely beat them...will they though??

grizz twice.......grizz at home are as deadly as any team at home mixed with their style of play....I can definitely see Memphis sneaking a win in Memphis.......the one in the bay will be a blowout though...in favor of the warriors...especially IF the record is up for grabs or to tie it.

That twolves game is in the air.....depends on which twolves team we get that night. Do we get the energized young guys that's gonna defend and push the rock or the inexperienced pups with the titty milk on their breath??

Not worried about any other teams

I had Memphis as the team in the West with the best shot of beating GSW in a series.

Call me crazy all you want, but GSW and SAS play the same style, but GSW is just flat-out better. Can't out-GSW the GSW.

Memphis, on the other hand, is not shy about just pounding the rock down low, even if it means matchup issues on the defensive end. Then add in Conley and Allen as perimeter defenders, and I liked Memphis' chances. I did not EXPECT Memphis to win a series, but thought they had the best shot. Looking at the remaining schedule just makes me sad, again, that Gasol and Conley are out.

Regardless of style Memphis just doesn't have enough shooting/scoring to take down GSW.

It's a possibility. A convincing win with one days rest and adjusted to climate. Whereas GS looked tired tonight against the Bullets. Now they got to travel and less than a day to adjust to climate. Key injuries as well. I can see a loss. But I'm on board for the Warriors to finish strong

The biggest issue I have with this is that it's not the Bulls who are recognized as the greatest team of all time (which IMO is a fact), it's that Jordan is recognized as 72-10 and is anointed the credit. Having the record broken takes a chip of that and brings the Jordan stans down a notch. Because really, I think Bulls fans can appreciate what is unfolding, Jordan stans cannot.
