Hey-now

Guessing most don't care 'round here, but damn, I always hoped he would get back into a more regular role in film or television.

For the kids, he's the Senator from Iron Man and Winter Soldier and star of HBO's Larry Sanders show.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ Shandling died from a massive heart attack, with no prior warning whatsoever

"The Larry Sanders Show" is still criminally underrated, a forerunner to shows like "Curb" and "The Office".

Great writing talent and comedic actor. Dude wrote for "Sanford and Son" too.

True stuff. Larry Sanders is some seminal television. Right on the front of the winking at the audience thing, and the sort of alternative reality celebrity cameo.

One of the best comics from the mid 80s to mid 90s.

"When I die, at my funeral I want a boxing referee. I want him standing over me counting down 10,9 until he gets to 5 then waves it off and say "he's not getting up". - Gary Shandling

He said this last year when him and Seinfeld were driving around just talkin about their careers. Funny guy.

RIP
