Houston Rockets -> The idea that McHale was a good coach, he does nothing but make rotations and give pep talks. He doesn't know how to draw up offensive plays, he (and Bickerstaff) didn't know how to play Lawson and Harden together, and he doesn't have a chance at landing another head coaching job probably ever again.

James Harden -> The idea that he's a lazy player. He's never missed a game, or even came off the bench, due to an injury or rest the past two seasons. Harden also leads the NBA in playing 40 minutes in a single game dating back to when he first came to Houston. Harden sits atop the list at 118, second is Butler at 100, and Durant is third at 93. I'm stealing this topic from another board because I liked the premise.

Everybody here knows McHale was terrible.

People don't call Harden lazy as a whole. They call him a lazy defender. Saying he doesn't miss games doesn't change that.

firing McHale showed the world what the rockets truly were.....PRETENDERS.

MCHALE isn't the best coach but he obviously did something right last year to get the OBVIOUS egos to compliment each other and produce one of the great comebacks in playoff history. That warriors vs rockets matchup would have been better if they had not of spent so much energy in that clippers series. Rockets were just gassed and the warriors play a style that will keep you gassed.

Harden doesn't miss any games and can play a lot of mins when half of those mins he is standing there looking at the other teams offense run past him.

Mchale isn't great coach technically or he doesn't has genius micro rotation moves , like Carlisle . But Carlisle is one of the dumbest coach ever when it comes to about ideology and philosophy of the game .

I do pick Last year Mchale over any version of Carlisle . He had solid vision about the game .

I cringe every time someone credit DLO, Randle or Clarkson improvement to Byron Scott. If anything, he stunt their growth giving them little playing time to give to veterans like Lou, Huertas and Bass. That goes without mentioning the mind games (One could call bullying) and bashes through the press.
I mean, Lakers are losing anyway. If we were going to lose why not play the young guys 35 minutes per game?

I feel like everybody's perception of the Jazz is correct in one way or another, but that's mainly because no one cares about them.
As for Dwyane Wade, people always assume that he's done. They've been saying this since 2013 and we are now in 2016 and he is still doing a great job. Also people greatly assume that Wade is a horrible jump shooter judging by his weak 3-point shot, but over the course of his career, he's been a very reliable mid-range shooter and has routinely closed out games in that fashion

McHale was a bad coach. Definitely not a misconception.

Playing every game is not working hard. How hard is it to show up? Harden is lazy on the defense end.

Misconceptions about the Lakers. None. They suck. Byron sucks. Everyone knows they suck. I survived the Smush Parker era I can wait this one out.

Jeremy Lin - Scrub who doesn't belong in the league. Not a scrub and definitely belongs.

"Iggy is a defensive role player."

People don't understand Iggy's impact on the game offensively. He really is the glue-player for the Warriors on BOTH sides of the ball. I recently saw a stat that compared Curry's shooting % with Iggy On/Off the court, and the numbers were staggering. That's why I was actually happy to see Iggy win FMVP last year, because he deserved the recognition.

not a lot of misconceptions about the lakers :lol

curry - "bad defender" yet all advanced statistics say the exact opposite (and he's top 5 in steals)

Agree. Curry looks like a very good defender to me.

As for Wade, like the poster above said, Wade is a very good midrange shooter. He takes crazy off balance shots too much but makes a lot of them.

Kyrie isn't a good passer.

I've watched this guy since his short lived Duke days. His game as a PG has matured drastically and the guy definelty has the ability to be an elite passer due to GOAT tier handles alone.

His attitude is what's stopping him, not his ability.

Russell Westbrook averages 10 assist per game so that means he isn't selfish.
