What are the most underrated TV shows?

The shows that barely anyone raves about, but should

Black Sails.

That 70s Show is one of the underrated sitcoms IMO. It was consistently funny for a long time and well acted by everyone in the cast.

Red, Kitty, Kelso, Eric, Jackie, Fez, all of them were really funny.

I keep hearing great things about Black Sails, may need to finally check it out.

Agree with Nick Young on That 70's Show. I don't think there's a more underrated sitcom out there.

As far as TV dramas, The Shield comes to mind. There are parts of the Shield that go toe to toe with the best shows ever. It's not perfect but when I hear people talk about underrated television, it's always the first show to come to mind. 7 pretty consistent seasons, plot is great, it's just very entertaining and keeps you locked in start to finish.

Never watched The Shield but TV buffs I know said that show is massively underrated.

I thought Lincoln Heights was a good show, short lived but it wasn't too easy to predict the plot. Pretty much a middle class family living in a "ghetto" neighborhood and trying to make changes.
Smart Guy was a hilarious late 90s sitcom based off of a smart African American kid growing up in DC.

I'm watching Sopranos currently and I'm blown away how well down this show was.

Sirens and Better Off Ted, both only 2 seasons long, both now on Netflix.

They should've lasted for a long time.

Banshee

last season (3rd) is their strongest, even better than Game of Thrones previous one

The lead (Lucas Hood) is something that Tyler Durden looks up to

They have the greatest one on one fights in TV history, actually 3 of them is in Season 3 alone

I watch Banshee too!

Burton vs Nola was fukin crazy!

It's awesome, show definitely gives no fvcks, all out action/sex/nudity (Cinemax allows for it I guess)
Season 4 starts on April 1, sounds like its gonna be a crazy one

yeah it was fukin crazy

they managed to pull off a Fight Club, Assault on Precint 13 and Call of Duty in last season is already massive in terms of achievement
