View Full Version : Are there any genuine Youtubers left -or- are they E-beggars?

I recently followed a genre of people traveling in their vans and RV's around the country. I thought it was cool till I ran across a common theme and that was, asking for 'donations' to help them in their journey.

I was like :wtf:

So I'm going to pay you so you can travel the country just to post YT videos. The genre started off interesting with life on the road with tips, advice and footage of the various places they went to but left a bad taste with the 'donation' bit.

Going back to E-beggars...are Youtubers equivalent to a homeless beggar? Every damn video has the cliche....click and subscribe, thumbs up if you like and comment. When these cliches are brought up...I make sure to never watch them again.

I get it...people want to make money off YT and some of them have a YT career but don't make it so obvious.

Don't get me started on Instagram models. They are the same except they are whoring themselves for followers so some small startup company can pay the wannabe models to hold their soft drinks in a bikini.

Most if not nearly all get in the youtube game to get something out of it

I got nothing wrong with it, just don't make it so blatant and keep whatever quality content attracted so many people consistent

It's a hell of a tool along with all of social media for a business

Not too long ago advertising/marketing your product/brand was a lot harder and more refined to newspaper ads, or if you could afford to buy adspace on air... There are still so many small businesses I see that do not take full advantage of social media, you really have to be up to date with it

It's possible.... Couldn't tell you though. Discovered him last night while high. Watched a few vids, one where he nearly flipped his Ducati. Love bikes so I figured what the hell... I'll post.

regular car reviews is great.
They did ask for money, but only when their cruiser got completely wrecked. And even then, they only bough a car for what the asked, and spent the rest on a road trip, reviewing cars throughout usa
