And Curry is Jordan, except he's a far worse player half the time he's on the court (defensive end) and Jordan was responsible for carrying a bigger load (higher proportion of his team's points and assists).

They truly are the best team since the Bulls. It's a shame that alot on this board never got to witness the greatness of the 90's and especially the Bulls.
But everyone can agree that we are witnessing true greatness now and that the torch has been passed from all the pretender GOATs to a team truly dominating.

During the 2nd three-peat, Jordan scored a higher proportion of his team's points than Curry, while having a far greater defensive impact.
If you include assists, Jordan's proportion of points and assists was equal to Curry's - but again - Jordan had a far better defensive impact... Furthermore, if you include turnovers, then Jordan's proportion of points + assists destroy Curry's.
During the FIRST three-peat, Jordan accounted for a higher proportion of points.... and also points + assists..... while having a far superior defensive impact as well.

the refs favor the Warriors big time.
but honestly, you don't need as much ref help when the defender isn't allowed to touch you on the perimeter... :confusedshrug:

Your thread literally says nothng good about the Bulls though. You're just propping up Jordan while downplaying Curry.
If the Bulls really were so good, why do you go around shitting on Pippen, Rodman, Grant, Kukoc, Harper, etc. all the time?

^^^^^ If you include assists, Jordan's proportion of points and assists during 2nd three-peat was equal to Curry's.. But if you subtract turnovers, then Jordan utterly destroys Curry.
Of course, During the FIRST three-peat, Jordan accounted for a higher proportion of points.... and also points + assists.
Jordan carried the bigger offensive load and obviously, MJ's defensive impact dwarfs Curry's - this is especially true against teams that have great perimeter players, since MJ can guard guys like Magic, Lebron, or Drexler, while Curry can only defend guys like Shumpert, Delly, etc.
There's a reason Curry didn't win FMVP in last year's Finals - he only did half the job, while Iggy did the other half (defense)... Otoh, MJ performed Iggy's duties on defense by guarding Magic/Drexler, while still having a goat offensive impact - Jordan's 2-way ability is why he has 6 FMVP's, compared to Curry's 0.

.
Defense is not worth half.
There's five players on defense. So one player is 20% of that. Paint defending centers can be worth a little more, but that's about it.
Now, on offense you're team can do whatever it wants with the ball. So, most teams with legendary first options give the ball to that player like 60% of the time.
So, I'd say offense is worth three times as much as defense.

The stats show that OLD Jordan scored a higher proportion of his teams points than prime Shaq, especially in the 4th... (Shaq had twice the rebounds and blocks, but MJ had twice the assists and steals, so we're left with the scoring shown above).
These stats shouldn't be a surprise.. Think about it - in 1997 and 1998, Shaq was in his prime too, but you never heard about Shaq - MJ was the best player in the game.. He won MVP in 1998 over Shaq.. He also destroyed the Jazz in 1997 and 1998 Finals, while Shaq's Lakers lost 4-1 and 4-0 to the same Jazz..
And Shaq's 1997 and 1998 Lakers were stacked to the brim - in 1997, they had all-star Eddie Jones, Van Exel, Cedric Ceballos, Robert Horry, Elden Campbell (15/8 and 1.5 blk), and rookie Kobe (8 ppg in 16 minutes).. But they were destroyed 4-1 by the Utah Jazz in ECSF... Jordan went on to dominate the Jazz in the Finals, with the game-winner in Game 1, the game-winner in Game 5 (flu game), and the series-winning assist to Kerr in Game 6 (which spear-headed Kerr's career).
In 1998, Shaq's 4 all-star Lakers (Van Exel, Eddie Jones, Kobe) were FAR more talented than the Jordan's old Bulls, but were swept AGAIN by the Utah Jazz.. Once again, MJ ripped the Jazz's heart out in the Finals, despite Pippen's 15 ppg on 41% and Rodman's horrific 4/8 averages (his old, washed-up ass wasn't even a starter).

Don't statistics show that he's not a liability defensively?
Isn't he in the upper tier of many defensive statistics?
No.
For example, he has a negative defensive boxscore +/- for his career and weak DRtg, even though he's played on very good defensive teams (which tends to positively influence these numbers).
His RAPM is top notch, but ANY offensive player on a good team who is the KEY to their team's offense has a top notch RAPM (i.e. Jordan, Lebron, Curry).. This is a stone-cold fact.

Curry > Lebron > Kobe >>> Jordan

2000 Kobe was garbage - he only averaged 20 ppg in regular season and 15 ppg on 35% in Finals.
Otoh, Penny was 1st team All-NBA in 1996 - he was WAY better than 2000 Kobe..
Yet Penny and Shaq were destroyed in 1996 ECF (they were swept), while Jordan averaged 30/6/6 on 50%
He wasn't garbage and he played elite clutch Kawhi level D during this time.

1-12 ****.
1 game with 12 threes made?
Yeah, Curry's got that in the bag.
Jordan has never hit more than 7 in a single game, including years with a shortened line where even I could step out and knock down that many considering how poorly they used to defend the perimeter.
He would not be nearly as effective in today's game.

Jordan's lack of 3-point shooting would make him not nearly as effective in today's game.
Most of the NBA's top wing scorers are poor 3-point shooters - Lebron, Wade, Westbrook, Derozan, Butler
Infact, they all had poor 3-point AND midrange efficiency for most of their careers, but they're still top scorers because today's wide open spacing and hands-off defense allows athletic players to get to the rim easier than ever before..
Today's open game would benefit MJ's athleticism the same way - except he would ALSO have goat midrange efficiency, and therefore a massive advantage over his aforementioned, non-shooting peers.
Players simply DON'T need to be a good shooters to be top scorers in today's game... Again - Lebron, Wade, Westbrook, Butler, and Derozan have poor 3-point AND midrange efficiency.

lol, Warriors > Bulls
The Warriors rely on the 3-point shot to be great.
Without the 3-point line, or if a team takes it away (like the Spurs did the other night), they're nothing... The Bulls didn't rely on anything like that to be great - they were elite in ALL areas.
The Bulls would beat them by 100... It would be a like the AAU national champs playing your AAU team of local stiffs and floppy-haired white boys - an utter massacre.

Again, let's go back to the 70's and have them play - the Bulls win by 100.
Or let's watch the Bulls shut down their 3-point attack like the Spurs did the other night.
This would be especially easy in the mid-90's with the shortened 3-point line, since defenders cover less ground and gain 2-3 feet of closeout space - 2-3 feet makes a massive difference when closing out on shooters.
But carry on and ignore the facts.
