I'm sick AF right now. Wife gonna pick up some groceries to nurse me back to health. What's some good homemade recipes you guys do to recover from a cold/fever?

Aren't you the expert

Anyways

Depending on what the cold is/if it includes nasal/throat/etc

Hot water with salt gargling for throat

Drink one of those hot lemon drinks with paracetamol... Forget what they're called

Also this might be a long shot, but

A few teaspoons of olive oil/canola oil

I feel like the heavy concentration monosaturated fats that store as fat really fast (I think they skip the insulin path?)... Find i get a slight thermogenic effect and I feel warmer... This might be nothing but it might keep the body functioning

Who knows

I'm taking supplements.

I'm talking some new or unique recipes for some good homemade soups or recipes

I'm avoiding Neocitron and other medicines. I want to help the body heal itself

Maybe olive oil since it has antiviral properties. Canola? No thanks. Canola oil is just bad for you all together

What are good oils? I realized my diet is slightly low in fats so I've been lazy and consuming some oils

I take echinacea tea. The science on that is apparently mixed though. (http://www.webmd.com/cold-and-flu/cold-guide/echinacea-common-cold) And I don't know if it would effect your thinking but I haven't had to deal with a cold in two years. I don't know if that has anything to do with past tea drinking. Probably not.

Omega 3's are harder to acquire through diet alone. More seed and fish oils?

Coconut Oil. Sell it a jar for cooking and baking. It usually hardens up when left out or in cold. Just let a big spoonful dissolve in throat or mouth couple times a day.

Nothing like a big stock pot of homemade chicken and vegetable soup or a big bowl of pozole. Couple tortillas and some hot sauce.

You know that stuff does miraculous things to your skin right? Tons of beneficial properties in the extra virgin blend.
