Which guard from the 2015 draft would you take on your team going forward?

I'm gonna have to go Booker. I've been thoroughly impressed with his playmaking ability and deceptive explosiveness in getting to the basket.

True. I'd have thought a Lakers fan would have had more faith in Russell though.

Russell by a distance. Booker is a complete liability on one end of the floor, and might never have an NBA body (he is always gonna get bullied by SGs).

Sure, he can shoot, but so can Russell.

Seriously, Booker looks like a far, far better player this season. :pimp: We'll see how they both grow. Right now asking that question is essentially insulting Booker because how much better he is than D'Snitch, whose currently as good a player as he is a friend. :pimp:

Booker averaged more ASSISTS as a SG in March than D'Angelo has in any month as a PG. :oldlol:

Oh and he averaged 6+ more ppg as well.

Next season after Kobe is gone they will likely move Russell to Shooting Guard. He just doesn't look natural running the point. Maybe putting him at the 2 would suit him better because he looks clueless running the team at PG.

I was on the Okafor wagon. I wasn't overwhelmed with joy on the Russell selection. I'm concerned with his lack of speed and athleticism. People were saying he's the best passer since Magic. I just don't see it. Maybe in different system with a different coach. Booker for me.

Sure, but Russell has the tools to be a good defender, and Booker doesn't (weak, short wingspan, not athletic, a lightweight).

They have the same standing reach and Russell has a bigger wingspan. Booker is gonna have nightmares defending wings his whole career.

I think it's gotta be Booker. If lakers called and offered Russell for Booker straight up the Suns would laugh their asses off. D Book is a great kid off the court, something we can't say for Russell.

Why would the Lakers want to trade a 19 year old rookie who posted the highest scoring total (39 points on 8 threes) of any 1st year player in 5 seasons? Isn't the league tailor-made for Russell's game?

Sure he's a snitch but I'm sure they care about his production on the court. The off-court stuff is for TMZ to talk about.

Lmao no he isn't. Booker can only dream of making the passes D'Angelo has made. It's not Russell's fault he plays for a retard like Scott with no imagination of an offensive system.

He would barely play (if at all) because opposing teams would go at him over and over again. He is literally one of the worst defenders in the league.

Kobe on Devin,

“I think he’s fantastic,” Bryant said. “I think he has the right attitude. He has the right competitive spirit. I think his footwork is extremely sound. His fundamentals are extremely sound. Now, it’s just about him figuring out exactly what his game is and then he can go to that every single night and then make counters off of it but he has the skills.”

Booker Tonight in 43 mins of play,

30pts 3rbs 5ast 4to

D'Lo after 3 qts...

0pts 1rb 0ast 2to

I like Russell hope the kid pick his game up

Kobe when asked about Booker: Praises the heck outta him.

Well both their assist to turnover ratio is nearly identical... and if Booker got the starting gig right out the gate he'd be smashing Russell in every single statistic. Booker had a ton of games early in the season that he appeared in with very minimal mins and that has greatly limited his per game averages... He would be averaging at least 18pts and 5asts a game... Easily!

Booker keeps improving every facet of his game as the seasons goes along and Russell keeps struggling. Booker looked like nothing but a spot up shooter now the kid has showed the ability to take opponents off the dribble and create his own shot, get to the basket, make good passes... The kid just makes better plays. He's fundumentaly more sound than Russell. Now what exactly has Russell improved on throughout the season? :oldlol:

D'Angelo Russell has lost the trust of some teammates after a video surfaced of a conversation he had with Nick Young.

The video, which is believed to have come to light last week via the Twitter account of a celebrity gossip site, shows Russell filming Young while asking questions about Young being with other women. In the video, Young does not appear to realize he's being taped.

Young got engaged to Australian rapper Iggy Azalea last summer.

Various Lakers officials are aware of the issue and are dismayed with Russell, sources say, but to this point they have chosen not to intervene.

"Right now," one source said, "they're handling it by isolating him."

Said one team insider: "This was a prank gone wrong and a mistake by [Russell], and he has to be held accountable, but I would hope he isn't overly criticized for it."

At a recent breakfast meeting, one source said, no Laker would sit with Russell at his table. The source added that, in another instance, Russell came into the locker room and sat next to Lou Williams, who got up and walked away.

"It's bad," one team source told ESPN.com's Ramona Shelburne. "It's about as bad as it can get. There were trust issues already. Now there's no trust."

Later in the conversation, while apparently still recording, Russell is heard telling Young, "I'm glad you told my video all that."

"Huh?" Young says, turning his face toward Russell before the video cuts off.

Both could be really good players. I love watching Russell because he really does have pure point guard skills.

Booker on the other hand has a beautiful stroke and a scorers instinct.

And in a league littered with quality PG's and where the SG position is the weakest one, I'd go with booker.

I'll take D'Angelo for now and future. Just think DLo offers so much more than just scoring. I see Booker as just a scorer to be honest. Can't compare Booker to Klay because his defense is so bad. He's more of a taller Ben Gordon with a bit more midrange skill.
