I dont think fun is the right word, because it makes it seem like people want cheesy jokes throughout. Obviously some jokes are okay and superhero ham is expected.

super hero stories-by the very nature of people with ridiculous powers dressing up in goofy rainbow outfits to selflessly fight crime-are inherently light and comedic.

The era of dark and gritty is over. It works with Batman ONLY because Batman is such a great and transcendent character, irregardless of him being a "super hero" or not.

Suicide Squad is by it's very nature a goofy and stupid light-hearted concept. If you try to create a serious movie around the concept of Suicide Squad, you are doomed to fail before you even begin.

They can't decide on what they want to do. Marvel has there formula and it is across all of their movies. DC wants to go darker, which I am for, but then they see what Marvel is doing and want to be Marvel. Make up your mind DC!

They don't need to copy Deadpool. They can do that from a completed script when they spin off the different characters in their own franchise. Script rewrites this late usually end up in disaster. Keep the vision you already have for this movie.
