While we all love to hype up big performances by up and comers down the stretch we often ignore those who produce over a season or nightly.

Last week, after exploding on the scene vs Washington, defenses starting paying attention to Zach Lavine, gone were the open looks, gone were the open lanes. Defenses paid attention to Towns, Wiggins and Lavine, instead of just the former two.

Here are Lavine's stats while facing the real NBA defense that Towns and Wiggins see all season:

Fri 4/1
@ UTAH
L 85-98 40min 1-9 3pts
Wed 3/30
vsLAC
L 79-99 22min 0-6 0pts
Mon 3/28
vsPHX
W 121-116 34min 6-10 15pts
Sat 3/26
vsUTAH
L 84-93 35min 3-11 9pts

Lets have fun, but there is a reason this guy isn't seen by everyone as a budding superstar.

Not a bad building block to be a 4th option eventually honestly. The team needs a real coach though.

Lavine is still going to end up having a better career than Wiggins when its all said and done

There is not one single metric or piece of anecdotal evidence aside from your raging boner that supports a Lavine > Wiggins argument.

I know you enjoy being the clown prince of tardness in this forum but this stance is a step too far for even that pursuit.
