View Full Version : The Suns are the real 2007 NBA champs...Duncan's ring is worthless.

stalkerforlife

The NBA suspending Amare and Diaw for the pivotal game 5 cost the Suns the series.

All because of Horry's hockey-style check on Nash.

Amare in the games before the BS suspension...20/18, 27/9, 21/5, 26/9.

Never forget that the NBA stole a ring from the Suns and gave one to Duncan.

What happened in game 7?

Plenty of games have been officiated poorly.

Game 6 didn't end that series.

Why didn't the Queens win game 7?

Makes no sense.

The Queens didn't have their superstar player taken out of an entire game along with his backup.

The Queens played game 7 at HOME.

The Spurs won game 5 (When Amare and Diaw were suspended) by THREE POINTS. Suns EASILY win game 5 with them.

Spurs played game 6 at AT HOME.

First of all, it was only the WCSF. Second of all, game 5 wasn't even an elimination game. You can't say a team was robbed of a title because of something that happened in a non-elimination game in the second round. There's no guarantee the Suns win another game in the series, then the WCF, then the finals. You are literally giving them 9 more wins.

It's the same as when people say the Bulls were robbed of a title in 1994 because of the phantom foul in the ECSF. It's ridiculous.

And all you need to know about that game five...

Shaq averaged 11 FTAs per game in the other six games of that series...and in that game five... ONE FTA.

The officiating was every bit as one-sided in that game five, as would be in game six.

You call me a teenager but you're the one who sounds like a 15 year old.

Maybe the Suns would have won the title, but there are no certainties in sports. By your logic the favorite always wins, and we all know that's not the case. There's no guarantee the Suns even win that series, much less the title. It's absolutely absurd to say a team was "robbed of a title" when they still had to win 3 series.

Yeah. This game 5 isn't mentioned cause the Lakers won the series but it was bad referred as shit. Kobe and Shaq on foul trouble the whole game, Shaq not getting any FTs and the final 2 plays witch were dubious to say the least. First Bibby pushes Fisher to make the go ahead basket (eventually game winner) then Kobe is clearly fouled on a jumper and the game ends.
The fact is: NBA knew Finals against the East champion would be just a formality so they made sure the series went to 7.

While the refs helped the Lakers, the Sacramento FT fail doesn't get mentioned enough. I think that Bill "pop culture god" Simmons said something at the time about how everyone but Bibby looked scared to death.

As for the OP, though, I am with you, but the Suns could have won game 5 anyway. If they win that, I think they win the series in seven games at home.

Talk about moving the goal posts. You are the one who called Duncan a role-player in his championships for over a decade. I posted FULL playoff stats which proved he was not a role player. Now, you're suggesting that if a player isn't an all-star, he's a role player. I guess Damian Lillard (25.1 pts 6.8 asst) is a role player too because he wasn't an all-star this year.
