Dood is quietly having an excellent season. And there's no one else in the league who could get that supporting cast into the playoffs out West.

They won't. Schedule is too easy for them to miss it.

That would be awesome, we could add yet another player who has outplayed Dirk in the playoffs.

They could if they had Rick Carlisle as their coach. But I know the Dirk D*ckriders love to underrate arguably the 2nd best coach in the league in order to prop up their boy.

Rick is a great coach no doubt but it's the guys on the floor that ultimately control the action on the court.

Also if lebron had Rick as his coach his fans would still find a way to pin the blame on the coach.

There's no point in Dirks career when he was a Top 10 player

Dude didn't have the athleticism to be considered, plus his defense was always mediocre

I'm not sure what you are looking at, but the Rockets are and still should be favored to make the playoffs over us.

We won't have the tiebreaker either iirc....so it's still at best a coin flip for the Mavs.

The Rockets end the year playing;

Suns
Lakers
Wolves
Kings

So even if the Rockets lose to the Thunder today and the Mavs on Wednesday...they are still not out of it. And that is assuming Mavs beat the Wolves today in a toss up game.

538 still has the Rockets favored by over 10% against us to make the playoffs...and, again, that is likely assuming the Rockets lose today and Wednesday...and neither game is close to a lock.

We are still alive and in better shape than we were 7 days ago, but we are still likely to miss....and given we don't even have any semblance of a healthy team...losing to the Wolves and or Rockets becomes likely.

Also, we end the year with this;

Clippers
Jazz
Spurs

The best hope is that the Spurs don't try the last game of the year, but we still might have to steal one against the Clippers or Jazz to make it depending on what the Rockets do and if we beat Minny/Rockets.

So I guess you don't consider Bird to have ever been a top 10 player?

Dirk was a top 10 player for a decade.

Harden

He's still a rock solid player, but he's not a top 25 player in the league even.
