View Full Version : 4 point line? Yay or nay?

I think adding a 4 point line would make the game more exciting. I don't think it will affect the game as much as people think. For the most part, teams will stick with how they play now. But in the end of games, it would give teams a greater chance of coming back if they are down. I say put a straight line 35 feet beyond the arc. Maybe 40 feet but that would be bordering on freak show type distance.

Thoughts?

The should contemplate removing the current 3 point line before this.

If you have seen any junior basketball games recently you would see some of the reasons why.

Even playing pick up, every god damn midget is jackin half court shots thinking they are Steph Curry. Drives me crazy.

I'd prefer the NBA just widen the court and extend the corner 3.

I'd like to see a 4, 6,8,and 10 point line

We will eliminate basketball skills and just throw up shoots to see who can hit booms.

Definitely. Guys regularly step out of bounds after using their non-pivot foot to plant and step out of bounds. There is just too little room in the corner 3 area.

I see this as part of the challenge of the game. Skill is within not stepping out of bounds. Why change it?

This is the dumbest idea

Yeah, I want all the foot work and skill taken out of the the game and have guys camp out at the 4 point line or running around moving screens to shoot the 4 point shot. Makes great WWE entertainment.

People are seriously calling Curry the GOAT , after 1 and 3/4 seasons of elite performance and 1 MVP with no FMVP. GTFO.

Maybe OP secretly hates Curry, and wants up and coming players to practise 4 point shots to overshadow Curry's uniqueness.

nay. The nba has become gimicky enough...enough is enough.

Nah guys, you can have a 4point line but I think there has to be certain conditions. I dunno, something like within 3 seconds of game time or whatever else along the lines.

So awarding a guy for being able to shot from longer range doesn't matter. HELLO THATS SKILL

I'd rather see the 3 point line eliminated before I want to see a 4 point line.
