i'd like to see it too, and i'm a huge 90's bulls fan. 3ball can't appreciate curry's game because he's too locked on jordan's nuts.

remember to store those vhs tapes high 3ball, you never know when a freak flood may hit.

He already has an argument saved on file for such an occasion.

I bet it's longer than Pauk's Lion essay about Kobe vs Bran in the all star game.

but even if they get it it doesn't prove anything other than the had a good reg season run.

Only a moron doesnt factor in playoffs to a GOAT argument.

All it does is prove they beat a bunch of scrub teams a few extra times...no big deal tbh

3ball will melt down if they tie the record. Breaking it would just add gas to the fire. :lol

Only if they win the championship too

meh, doesn't make the Warriors a better team just because they were able to win more games in the regular season.. MJ was past his prime and Bulls lost games by 1 pts late in the season while their starters played 30 minutes...current Warriors got blown out by the Lakers and lost to the Wolves at home

doesn't mean anything if they don't win the championship

Only if they win the championship too

That will be his excuse when Warriors tie/break the record. He will be hopeful that they don't win the title again. That would be a meltdown thread in itself. Lol

I'm looking forward to it myself, as well as from any other die-hard Michael Jordan or retro-era stans.

I love how overzealously they're clinging to the '96 Bulls record. They've maintained for most of the season that the Warriors wouldn't eclipse the record; when they did, they couldn't even interlude to lend credit to the Warriors before challenging them to have a more impressive playoffs run—that is, if they haven't debasing the regular-season run by discrediting modern-era accomplishments altogether.

Don't get me wrong; I'll still be there to defend Michael Jordan (still the indisputable GOAT) and any other retro-era ATG whenever modern-era fanboys try to diminish them to prop up the millennial superstars—LeBron, Kobe, Curry, and so forth—but it's becoming harder to defend the pro-Jordan arguments with how rabidly some of the old-schoolers are defending him.

If you're a truly passionate NBA fan, you should appreciate any monumental record-breaking as you see it happen regardless of the franchise and player(s) contributing to it.

90s fossil poster also became a Spurs fan for the playoffs in the hope that they beat the Warriors. Alltimer fossils melting down instead of embracing the new age. :lol

I don't know why some MJ stans are so insecure about the Warriors breaking the record

I'm a Bulls fan/MJ fan, and I'm keen for GSW to break the record, as a fan of basketball I get to experience history being made and it's awesome

Does it make Curry a better player then MJ? Hell no, why do dudes feel so threatened by this record lmao. MJ isn't going to be displaced as the GOAT because of this season, like damn chill and enjoy the show

It's a no win this year for them, let them melt. 3 most likely options are all working against various arguments:

1. Warriors beat win record, win title. Obvious 96 bulls comparisons forever.

2. Spurs beat warriors, win title. Spurs match bulls franchise in title wins and get compared as a dynasty.

3. Worst nightmare, Cavs win title. Lebron beats a 73 win team to win the chip, something Mj never did. The fuels the flames of the debate for the foreseeable future.

I'd guess the spurs winning would be the lesser of the evils. Will be a fun postseason either way. :applause:

Jordan had FAR less turnovers, which squashes Curry's assist advantage, and leaves him with only ONE category that he leads - true shooting.

Jordan leads in every other category:

Per 100 Possessions

JORDAN 1991 RS: 42.7 pts.. 8.1 reb..4 7.5 ast.. 3.3 tov.. 3.7 stl.. 1.4 blk.. 60.4 ts.. 125 ORtg.. 31.6 PER.. 0.321 WS/48
CURRY 4 2016 RS: 42.5 pts.. 7.7 reb..4 9.4 ast.. 4.7 tov.. 3.0 stl.. 0.3 blk.. 66.9 ts.. 125 ORtg.. 31.5 PER.. 0.318 WS/48
JORDAN 1991 PO: 41.8 pts.. 8.5 reb.. 11.2 ast.. 3.4 tov.. 3.2 stl.. 1.8 blk.. 60.0 ts.. 127 ORtg.. 32.0 PER.. 0.333 WS/48

Jordan had higher PER and equal points-per-possession (ORtg), even though Curry's efficiency is boosted by carrying a smaller load on both sides of the ball: he doesn't play defense and scores a lower proportion of his team's points:

Since Jordan reached the holy grail of basketball (winning championship and FMVP) while carrying a bigger load, who cares about true shooting.

This notion that Curry is on Jordan's level due to true shooting ALONE is ludicrous - if that was the case, then Tyson Chandler, Ibaka, Dell Curry and Reggie Miller would also be on Jordan's level..
