I think Kobe had GOAT work ethic

Kobe wasnt as talented as Jordan.

Kobe only has 2 fully functioning fingers in one of his hands and he continues to play. He was just another kinda athletic kid that could dunk but look how far his game came. Killer in the post...midrange game... 3 .... defense... fire to win....

Honestly I think if you give Kobe the athleticism and talent Jordan had, Kobe would have won more than Jordan just through sheer will of wanting to win.

shit happens...Jordan was forced to "retire" in the middle of his prime that probably cost him 1 championship... Kobe had his chance to win 7 but the body can only take so much. 04 he had the court case but also had knee surgery prior to it and tore his shoulder

Jordan was the more talented, high IQ player... as much as Kobe added to his game in terms of post moves and different types of fadeaways, MJ took more efficient shots and could just get to the rim at a better rate

Jordan came into the league with a broken jump shot, and developed one the most unstoppable mid range jumpers of all time, without having an idol to copy his form from.

Kobe just copied everything Jordan did, all the way down to the mannerisms.

What takes more work, creating or copying?

this is a silly argument because jordan copied that midrange skill / jumpshot just as much as kobe did .. 80s were rife with midrange specialists, who MJ "stole" his work from according to the reasoning you provide. MJ came from the mold of DR J and 80s midrange game. He copied it.

I agree with some of your points others are way off Kobe was just as talented as Jordan if not more so the biggest difference between the two Jordan was much more athletic, he was freak athlete and Kobe was only great athlete. Jordan had superior IQ he let the game come to him he never forced the issue like shooting out of slub like Kobe always did and much better defender than Kobe ever was and leadership was much more natural for Jordan.

I honestly wouldn't call Jordans Psychopathic way of demoralizing his teammates being a great leader. Sure he lead by example but if he was in the age of social media where he would be scrutinized for every word that he utters he would be hailed as a teammate killer.

He almost killed Grants Career. Both Jordan has alot of things go right for them but Jordan more so than Kobe. As much as I know that Jordan is Goat I want some of the mysticism that some of his fan boys spew here. It just makes me dislike him instead of appreciate how unstoppable of a force he was when he was in his prime.

I've literally heard someone say that If Jordan played Football ( soccer) he would be the Goat because Jordan would be the Goat at anything he put his mind to. Same thing for table tennis. :facepalm

pretty much and more athletic. Also won a bunch of titles in a weakened watered down era where he got a majority of the ref help.

Kobe was sociopath too but was somewhat of loner that never hanged out with teammates or interacted he really only cared about basketball didn't care about being buddy buddy with his teammates.

I still think he's the GOAT though. Just look at some of his finals highlights in 1993. Unbelievable

mj uses textbook form .. theres nothing about his form that can be considered new, no unique form he ever used. its literally straight out of a textbook, and had been used by generations before him.
