No doubt both 15-1 and 72-10 are great accomplishment but I would give 15-1 a slight edge over 72-10.

Do you think 73-9 will matter if you don't win the championship? It'd leave a very bitter taste in one's mouth. Like Dirk winning MVP and losing in the 1st round.

15-1 also needs the additional context of pointing out the competition that year. Sweeping through the Blazers, Kings, and Spurs, and a 48 point Iverson barrage from sweeping the playoffs. That's insane to think that team swept through the western playoffs.

73 wins and no ring = history choke (maybe some leniency if they lose to the Spurs, but still a huge disappointment)

Nobody can ever reproduce 15-1 anymore since you now need 16 wins to get the championship.

Although 16-1 or 16-0 would be more impressive.
