People act like its Duncan's work when they talk about San Antonios success but this shows that the real praise goes to Pop and the front office. As soon as Duncan takes a reduce role the Spurs have their greatest season ever? Coincidence? I think not...

If they win a chip Duncan Vampires will start spewing all this bs about how he's in the GOAT conversation with MJ and pretending like it counts as a first option ring.

This is the first season they added a significant free agent (LMA) and even then got an amazing under the radar pickup of another former all-star to come off the bench (David West).

Spurs just caught up to Duncan, but Duncan was the biggest key in the late 90s to mid 2000s.

Maybe its cause of LMA and the emergence of THE CLAW

No, everybody will realize this is the less weighted of all of his rings. All this win would do is prove how great of a team player and leader he is for willing to put his ego aside for the greater good. Unlike Kobe.

Jesus christ warriorfan, why are you so obsessed with The Spurs? Lol we're all loyal fans to SAS, compared to you, who can't even get Curry's d*** out of your mouth for one second.

The real vampire is Duncan. He has been sucking the life out of the Spurs for almost a decade at this point.

This season is proof that Duncan wasn't not only having an extremely small impact during those later championships but that he was actually holding the team back.

Although the leader and best player of his team for many years, Duncan was always like the ultimate role player, he stepped back and let others flourish when needed (Tony's FMVP)

Duncan was never trying to be a superstar, just a winner, and the greatest teammate a player could have.

His unselfishness and dedication to playing the game the right way is probably one of the main reasons Aldridge has been able to adjust his game to fill Duncan's role so well this year. Call it system if you like but Timmy D is a huge part of that system

Tim Duncan had as many FMVP votes as Steph Curry in 2015.

Duncan has more rings than your entire franchise. Pipe down, peasant.

Duncan has continuously taken smaller roles for the Spurs, in order to save him for the playoffs. The Spurs get their best record ever because of Kawhi's improvement, and the team chemistry....which stems from Duncan

Spurs on Paper should be the best team in the league (if all healthy)

Parker-Manu-Duncan-LMA-D.West-Kmart-leonard.

Key is they have enough wing players to hold GSW's all time great transition attack.

The idea that a team that wins with total unselfishness and buying into the greater good has its franchises greatest player totally disregarding his own status for the best brand of basketball possible....and it proves that franchise player is a detriment...kinda makes me want to disregard you forever. Teams become great organizations because of the culture. Tim Duncan has as much to do with the Spurs culture as anyone. If he were an asshole going for whats best for his numbers he would be a detriment. Tim Duncan takes nothing from his teams best interests...and never will.

But hes a vampire? For a decade? TIm Duncan....a vampire. This is the kinda of shit thats more banworthy to me than most of the trolling here. Nobody is stupid enough to believe Tim Duncan has been hurting his team for a decade.....but its said in such a way that someone who doesnt know how trolling works believes it serious and would argue it....

Subtle trolling is in ways worse than the obvious. The subtle kind makes us look like a forum of ****ing idiots. Straight trolling is clearly a joke.

Good points, but I don't know why you even bother writing out these well-meaning and knowledgable essays like it will change the face of this forum.

This place is what is it, straight trolling.

The thing is...he is NOT a Warrior Fan. He hates everything about them except CURRY.

He puts down Klay, Green, Iggy, Kerr...you name them, he disparages them.

I think this goofball honestly believes that Curry has single-handedly carried GS to this seasons' record.

BUT, check out Curry's W-L record before Draygod arrived.

A pathetic POS LOSER.

He should kiss the ground that Klay, Dray, Iggy, et al walk on. Otherwise Curry would retire ringless and a relative unknown.

Thats because Spurs never had such a stacked team as this year's, in Duncan's absolute prime(2003) his best teammate Tony Parker was not much help and yet they won 60 games and NBA titles. Id say its pretty much Duncan's one man show, just like in 2000 when it was obvious Shaq's one man show.

Tbf Duncan is ten times better than Kobe. Why is a Kobe stan discussing a top 10 player?
Kobe stans only allowed to discuss top 13 players onwards.
