Didn't watch. Tmac 50x the player Horry ever has been. Rings only matter to star players.

Yet Horry hit much bigger and more impactful shots that directly led to multiple titles in LA and SA.

He has had more influence in games of meaning than ol wonk eyes.

A lot of people probably forget how clutch Horry was in Game 7 of the 2005 NBA Finals against Detroit. Spurs probably don't have that ring without Horry down the stretch

What's funny is that Horry said "You gotta earn it". Yeah Horry was CLUTCH AF, but he was a career 7 ppg scorer and played with all-time greats. He had Hakeem, Kobe & Shaq, and Duncan, Parker & Ginobili (T-Mac had those 3 too but they were way past their best playing days). When we talk about Horry, we're talking about being on the right team at the right time. T-Mac just had a really unfortunate career with all the injuries he faced and the fact that him and Yao didn't work out as planned because of the injuries to Yao as well. He also made one mistake and that was leaving Toronto. But hey, the guy was super young at the time and wanted to be "THE Man". Let's get one thing straight though. Tracy McGrady was wayyyyy better than what Robert Horry could have ever dreamed of being. Way better.

Maybe if T-mac had sacrificed himself to be a cog in a great system, he would've earned it, like Horry did. But he was a chucker, he wanted to be a hero.

Did Horry really say "you gotta earn them" ??

He was barely good enough to stick around in the NBA, a career 7ppg guy on 42.5% from the field

No doubt. I don't think anybody SANE would take Horry > Mcgrady when it pertains to building around a TEAM.

Mac's reaction was just priceless here, though. Guy looked like his heart was racing :oldlol:

Horry was actually a solid player when he was playing with Hakeem. But TMac was multiple times the player Horry was. Horry hopping from team to team getting into lucky situations got him the 7 rings.

I didn't find the initial clip to be much more than a semi-awkward exchange between two guys trying to figure out how to be analysts. But the slow-mo... that got me, haha.

I know TMac meant it as a joke but for Horry to reply like that

You gotta earn it...dude, you were wide open on every single one of those clutch 3s you made. Yes you made them, but keep in mind it was your teammates that afforded you to be so wide open. You did earn it, but it was mostly your teammates doing.

Tmac did fire back that anybody can get a ring not everybody can be in the Hall of Fame.

Small chance Horry gets in the Hall of Fame. Might have if there wasn't such a influx of great players lately.

While this is true, it still doesn't really matter. TMac is a much better player, rings only matter when it comes to stars really like dude said.

lol @ sacrifice himself. Tmac is like twice the player that Horry is, what Tmac is supposed become a 7ppg role player? Is this sacrifice? yeah, Horry can sacrifice, he's not T-mac. At no point was Horry every close to being considered the best player on his own team let alone the entire league.

Is it in the wording? lol....I mean when we talk who has the most rings, we really only talk about the stars right? Like comparing Barkley to say Duncan? You have people who feel Barkley is the most talented PF ever to play but he has no rings. Me personally though, I feel Duncan is the better player but if had zero rings, I honestly don't know.
