Don't have a link yet, but I just saw it on Sportscenter. Will update once ESPN.com puts the story up.

But damn! How many coaches is this team going to run through?

Apparently Karl will be fired tomorrow.

I hope the Kings die...leave sacramento, get a new owner, and a new name...screw this team.

Why'd they wait?
They wanted him to resign so they would look better

This is a non-story. Everyone and their grandmother knew George Karl would eventually get fired. It was a bad fit from the start. I have absolutely no idea how the King's organization thought this was a good hire from day one.

Oh well, we're talking about the Kings. The Twilight Zone of the NBA.

This ****ing franchise man...

**** Demarcus

We just chose a career cancer over a decorated hall of fame coach with one of the greatest coaching resumes... Didn't even give him the respect he deserved, or even a 2nd chance. Sigh...

neither George Karl nor Demarcus are the solutions for the Kings. They both have their fair share of warts.

Don't need to tell me bro

Like I said on Kingsfans

Karl is just the symptom of a much larger problem

This move sends a definitive message and pretty much all but confirms our reputation as a franchise. No top tier coach or free agent will want to come here

Because if a hall of fame coach like George Karl gets sucked under Demarcus' ego and thrown under the bus... Then it can happen to anyone

We'll most likely be in this exact same situation next year, contemplating firing yet another head coach

Like a girl with an abusive ex boyfriend.. Keep coming back for more

DMC isnt even good. A lot of guys can put up the numbers he can if they were given as many touches, and the green light. His usage % is off the charts

Karl has coached for a lot of teams; Seattle, Denver. Milwaukee, and now Sacramento. Never won anything and always seems to have feuds with players. Never truly earned the trust of his squad the way great coaches do. The fact that many former players call him a snake is not to his credit. He blundered early with DeMarcus talking to the press about DeMarcus' turnovers; this was just after joined as coach. Good leaders have that discussion 1:1 not give the message through the press. It was one of those things I saw that I knew he would be headed for the exits.

He also has one of the best coaching records in NBA history. Hall of fame coach. Make no mistake, the problem is not George Karl. It is, has always been, and still will be the Kings.

Kings need to get rid of team cancers aka. Gay Rondo and Cousins.

Trade them for picks and young talent, build around Curry.

WCS is a good player, i really like McLemore too

Pretty much. I can already see Cousins rubbing off on WCS, and not in a good way.

Curry is an unrestricted free agent. You can't build around a guy who is getting ready to bolt.

Kings organization and their owner are slimy. If they wanted to fire Karl, they should have just fired him. Instead, the Kings tried to get him to quit, by firing his friends and telling the players to defy the coach, so they wouldn't have to pay the remainder of his contract. The Kings as a franchise are an embarrassment, and although I'm a Northern California native, the team should have been moved when the NBA had the chance.
