Utah who might miss the playoffs tonight has a +1.9 point differential. Miami in the 3rd seed is at +1.8. Pistons are at +0.6.

So they're top heavy - big deal

The East had the team with the best record in the league in 2013 (66 wins) yet you were the same stans that were crying that the East was garbage :lol

East > West

The east is much improved but they only have one realistic title contender. The west has 3. I'd probably say the Clippers also have a better chance than anyone in the east but the Cavs. If they won a title it would certainly be a surprise, but not as much so as Toronto, Miami, Atlanta, etc....

raptors swept the clippers in the season series. They tied okc and spurs in their season series. Definitely better than the clippers. East may not be as top heavy, but they all have remotely the same level.

Rankings:
gsw
spurs
okc/heat
East playoffs
Rest of west playoff teams

The first seeded Cavs would be third in the West, would've been fourth or fifth had those two been healthy

Clippers swept Miami in the season series, despite missing Blake both times.

Therefore, they are definitely better than Miami!

Interestingly enough, Detroit has a 15-15 record against the West this year, and even that is a higher win% than both the Rockets and the Jazz who are fighting for the 8 seed

How are the Heat more of a contender than the Cavs? They've won 10 fewer games and are without Bosh. The Cavs are obviously the top contender in the east. They will be favored in every eastern playoff series. Vegas and the analytics have them ranked just behind the Spurs and slightly ahead of OKC.

I guess I'd rank the contenders in tiers

Tier 1:
Warriors
Spurs

Tier 2:
Cavs
Thunder

Tier 3
Clippers
Raptors
Heat
Hawks

The way I see it 3 teams can come out of the west and win the title. East has only one team and they happen to have Lebron. Since Lebron is doomed to go 2-X in the finals that means there's zero teams out east. :lol

Who cares? This whole year it's Warriors or Spurs. Maybe OKC. Cleveland looks like a lottery team without LeBron. Everyone else is just playing for pride to see how far they can get.
