It would have been devastating as a Lakers fan at the time, but I would have understood it and accepted it eventually. We were wasting his prime with bad players and the dude worshiped Jordan. I could have lived with him leaving to the Bulls. The Clippers I would not have accepted.

No, Kobe did.


We would have gutted our team and basically made it a Lakers East team. Then again, in the East he probably could have managed at worst a 4 seed with that roster but not championship material.
