He hasn't played in three years, he's retired. He's running a restaurant business now.

KG from 95. Duncan from 97. Vince, Dirk, and Pierce from 98. Brand, Dre, Ron, Manu, and Birdman from 99.

Think that's it for the 90s draft classes.

I can legit see every one of them retire this offseason, tho not sure what's up with Dirk and the Spurs guys.

Dirk opted in so he's at least playing one more year. Plus, 30k points is right there for him to attain too.

I am sure dirk is back. The rest who knows. I think manu is gone, Duncan is coming back. Vince done. Pierce who knows. and the rest I'm not even going to try and guess.

He hasn't officially retired.
What happens if he doesn't officially retire?

I don't think Rafer Alston ever officially retired, he just never got picked up by another team.

'96 draft class is probably the best, followed by '84 or '03

96 class has one top ten player and a bunch of other guys hovering around the 35-60 spots in Iverson, Nash, Ray Allen.

84 has Jordan, another boderline top ten in Hakeem. A boderline top 20 in Barkley and a top 30 in Stockton.

There is no such thing as an official retirement, unless he retires under contract, and goes on the Voluntarily Retired List. This is so he can't sign with another team for 12 months.

Allen isn't on this list, and he hasn't announced he has retired. Announcing isn't anything official either, but for purposes of thread, we will say it is.

So I would say if he doesn't sign in the next 12 months, his agent may make a press release advising his retirement, which is more of a courtesy than anything.

So a better question by jlip would be, has Ray Allen announced retirement? Answer is no still.

Yep.. Jordan, Dream, Barkley, Stockton.... also Alvin Robertson ( 4 time allstar and DPOY),Otis Thorpe (Allstar), and some solid players in Perkins and Cage. Special mention to GOAT non NBA player Schmidt.

True Alvin Robertson ranks higher than the other all-stars from 96 not named Jermaine O'Neal (that would be Marbury, Antoine Walker, Shareef, ect.)

PS. Ben Wallace is also from this draft class, just didn't get drafted.
