A Season of Accolades:

Toronto captured its 3rd consecutive Atlantic Division title, en route to setting franchise records for wins (56), home wins (32) & road wins (24). The team set records for consecutive wins (11), as well as consecutive wins at home (12).

Toronto hosted its 1st All-Star game, & was represented by All-Stars KL & DD. Lowry had his 1st career game-winner against Cleveland. DeRozan recently passed VC for 2nd on the franchise

Great win tonight.

Closed out the 3rd quarter really well and was able to extend the lead in the 4th despite PG13 and Ellis having decent games.

Lowry and DeRozan again didn't shoot very well tonight (way better than last game though), but Lowry was able to impact the game through his defense/rebounding/distributing. Val, Cory, and Patterson were HUGE, Biyombo played well in 15ish minutes as well.

Hope we keep it up in Indiana!

...After 4 straight disappointing performances, & after a week of promising that someday soon the lid would come off the bucket, All-Star shooting guard DeRozan exploded for a team-high & career playoff-high 34 points on 10-for-22 shooting in 40 minutes of work. He made 12 of his 13 free throws, including a critical pair with 13 seconds left in the 4th to give Toronto the 3-point lead that would stand up as the final margin of victory.

...Casey rolled the dice with a small-ball, bench-heavy lineup in the 4th quarter to try to chop down a 13-point Pacers advantage ... & was rewarded with a 21-2 run (actually, 23-2, if you could a pair of free throws late in the third) fueled largely by big performances from his reserves.



Indiana's inability to complete simple passes or hit open shots allowed Toronto get back into the game; Hill's inability to get the ball up just a tenth of a second faster allowed Toronto to escape with a thrilling come-from-behind win that fundamentally changes the complexion of the series.

"One frame shy of being a tie game going to overtime," Vogel said.

Now, instead of the Pacers flying back to the States with a chance to close out on their home court, Toronto will travel to Bankers Life for Friday's Game 6 seeking its first trip to the 2nd round of the playoffs since '01.
