Let's face it, him leaving the Lakers and ruining the team culture pretty much destroyed the franchise. They're gonna suck for the next 3-4 years.

Since the guy is irrelevant now, is that what he will be known for?

He was hurt and was expected to carry a narcissist. Too much of a load for Dwight. :confusedshrug:

Basically. He had a bad back the whole season, yet still played 76 games.

Yet because he wasn't able to carry baldbe to multiple rings like Shaq Kobetards started referring to him as "cancer"

He destroyed every franchise he touched, not just the Lakers.

Orlando and Rockets are ruined too.

TBH i think half of the people on this forum dont even remember that Dwight was on the Lakers. Purely because of the lack of impact and influence he showed when he was on that team.

Only player to win 3x DPOY in a row, but had other issues that held him back from taking it to the next level

Undeserved DPOYs
Dwight was clearly the most impactful defender during that stretch.
And a Kobetard talking about undeserved defensive awards:roll:

the Lakers destroyed themselves. No more fake bought championships. The Hollywood hype is over. Jack Nicholson will not be at any games from now on. get used to being fake garbage because you deserve it.

Wow. I'm not even a Dwight fan but the amount of vitriol he gets is unreal. His biggest crime in LA was coming back too soon from back surgery and playing with a shoulder injury for most of the year. LA fans tend to forget the billboards begging him to stay. Now he's the devil.:confusedshrug:

Nah, Stern and the collective stopping our trade for CP3 did more to set us back than Dwight's brief stop.

He'll go down as a great defensive big man who never developed the offensive game we hoped for and had back issues that shorted his dominance. He'll be a great "what if" for some with the back issues, but beyond that, he's had a hell of a career. Not many defensive bigs who carried a lot of offensive load made the finals without another real star.

Dwight Howard's legacy in the NBA will be that he never took winning seriously enough and that he was a kid in a man's body his whole career and never really matured.

It's a shame because young Dwight looked like Shaq lite with better defense.

Nowadays he gets outplayed by Jordan Hill...he has evolved in to roleplayer.

I think Hido and Lewis made him look good, back in those days.

He just honestly never improved that much. The year he trained with Hakeem he improved a little bit with his hook shot, but other than that his footwork has never really been that great. He depend too much on his athleticism and now he's hurting him since he's losing that.

Other than their jersey, there was nothign about Dwight's game that resembled Shaq
