Don't forget that.
Certainly not the first star to accomplish such thing. Do not forget that.

Jordan did it more.

Jordan tossed the series-winning assist to Kerr in the 1997 NBA Finals, which was the lynchpin for Kerr's post-playing career - no one would've heard of Kerr if Jordan didn't spearhead his career by by tossing that dime.

Jordan placed 3 championship rings next to Horace Grant's ordinary 11/8 averages, and now people remember him as a household name.

And finally, he took Pippen from a 7 ppg rookie to HOF

Jordan gave many guys meaningful careers.. What happens if Pippen goes to the Lakers in 1988 instead of the Bulls?.. He rides the bench and never sees the light of day - but instead, he went to the lowly Bulls where he could get some playing time and learn offense and defense from the scoring champ and DPOY... :confusedshrug:

Obviously, he rides the bench and never sees the light of day - but instead, he went to the lowly Bulls where he could get some playing time and learn offense and defense from the scoring champ and DPOY...

That's why he grew from this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0f1EsUVCIU), to battle-tested HOF.

:facepalm

JERRY KRAUSE, Bulls GM:

“Would Pippen have been great someplace else?

Michael absolutely killed Scottie in practice every day for his first two years. Mike just tore Pip up. He made Pip learn how to compete and forced him into playing hard. Had there not been someone to challenge Scottie like that, I’m not sure what would’ve happened to him... No, Michael made him a man.

Michael made him a man and Doug [Collins] did a great job with him in his first year. And he - Collins - had Michael to beat on him for a year every day in practice and Michael beat him to death."
