Dwight Howard 2010-2011: 22.9 pts 14.1 rbs 1.4 assists 2.4 blocks 26.1 PER

Kobe Bryant: 2006-2007: 31.6 pts 5.7 rebs 5.4 assists 1.4 steals 26.1 PER

So production wise they're the same, however Dwight Howard was the defensive player of the year, so Dwight gets the defensive advantage, even with the similar offensive production.

So stats wise Dwight had the higher peak, however, who would you take?? :confusedshrug:

Obviously Kobe is higher all time, but not sure why people see it as ridiculous comparison if we are looking at who was more impactful in their peak season... Howard was comfortably the best defender in the league whilst averaging 23 ppg on good efficiency.

Dwight in 10/11 was a more impactful player than Kobe that year, so unless Kobe had a massive drop off from his peak by the time he was 32, its arguable.

dwight led his team to the finals.

Kobe being the second option led his team to a ring.

Choose your pick.

both are no doubt capable players just out of the top 30.

I would take Dwight just because he plays defense.
