Whiteside is staying in Miami, Riley's said that signing him this summer is his #1 priority

and once the Thunder get knocked out of the playoffs early, Riley will have a nice chat with KD - alongside Wade and Zo - and have him ink his name to a 4-5yr stay in SoBe. KD isn't wasting any more of his prime trying to build a team to compete, he has but a few prime years left and those need to be contending for a title and winning at least 1 if he expects to be relevant in any great player discussions - if not, another Barkley/Malone

I can see whiteside taking money because his career is still young but I don't see players in the midst of their primes like durant and George leaving to a lottery team unless they knew another quality star signing was guaranteed.
