He is an Olympian (if that still means anything) and a 20ppg scorer.

Good all rounder, but is he a difference maker? Can he get them to 35 wins?

Quite frankly he would make the team a lot worse.

Yes, as a 4th option for 9 million a year maybe.

Durant is the guy we're giving the max to.

He's better than nothing. I'd prefer Durant and Whiteside with a number 1 pick though. He can take Sacres roster spot.

As a Raps fan, I would say he's a solid player who keeps improving, but if he wants a max contract, I can probably live without him(but hope we get something back in a S&T).
He's not a great defender, primarily a jump shooter and is streaky(less so as he's aging). His free throws come a lot like Haren's do with him attempting to drag his arms through the defender constantly and get's to distracted with non-calls.

So bottom line is, he's a good player, but not a franchise guy and probably a 2nd option at best, if he can sucker some team into a max deal, I won't fault him for taking it.

He's basically a leaner Corey Maggette, so take of that what you will.

No one is interested in Lebrons 2015 finals FG numbers

I don't blame him for taking a huge contract elsewhere, but I hope he doesn't leave. He can be streaky at times, although he was very consistent and good this season. He isn't really a detriment to the team in any way and he doesn't have an ego, so he fits great into any team.

He'd be more effective than Kobe was.

He seems to improve a little every year, which is encouragaing and means he's working on his game. He is 26 going on 27 so he is about to enter his prime. There is no denying this guy's raw athleticism. His arrow is pointing up. Still unsure how I would feel if we got him.

If he dont get max...it will be good, but i will rather see draft ingram and sign whiteside, then get rid of scrott...and hire thibs, jeff van gundy or walton....

This is a great comparison for about 2 years ago, but Demar has put a lot of work in over the years and has actually developed into a fairly solid offensive game. His 3 ball has gotten a lot better and his passing is actually sneaky good (he just looking to score most of the time). His defense hasn't improved much and doesn't look like he's even trying to improve on that side of the ball (either that or he's truly inept on d), he needs sound defensive players around him so he can take a less dangerous assignment on d.

I think in terms of long term success, no team should rely too heavily on Derozan. He can help a team, but I seriously doubt if he could lead a team, he doesn't have leadership quality and consistently get's rattled by non-calls too easily. He will almost always get up slow and walk back up court (regardless of what the other team is doing) when he doesn't get a call he was looking for.
