View Full Version : Shannon Brown saved ISH

According to rumors, Shannon Brown banged Pau Gasol's fiance in '11, thus throwing the Lakers' locker room into turmoil and killing their chances of making the Finals (and by extension destroying the Kobe/Pau mini-dynasty altogether).

Yes, the Mavs and Dirk were awesome that playoffs, but what if Pau and the Lakers were locked in like they were in '09 and '10? People remember that the Lakers got swept, but forget that the first 3 of those games were close.

But something more was lost - a potential Kobe vs LeBron finals, every casual fan's dream since 2008, was finally killed and laid to rest. The fact that '11 was the first year of the Miami Heat nWo only adds to the speculation of what could have been.

More importantly, would ISH have even survived if that Finals happened? I think this place would have collapsed within itself. And none of us would be here now.

Thank you, Shannon Brown. Your contribution is recognized.

I've seen enough, Shannon Brown has surpassed Lebron on my all time list

Absolutely agreed. And I've said it before.

Pau became a whiny little puss y after Brown did that, which is kind of understandable.

Brown broke the bro code and broke Pau's manhood.

He won back to back titles with the worst supporting cast in the history of back to back titles.

And they went to three straight finals with that team full of role players.

You're overstating it a little.

Gasol/Bynum/Odom/Artest (or Ariza) was a pretty damn good, and BIG, front line.

And Fisher had his moments.

Scrub Gasol was statistically better than chckbe in those finals

:biggums:

Anyhow, they were damn good because Kobe makes his teammates better. He absolutely maxed out their talents with a winning brand of basketball. Kobe played primarily from the post, obviously drawing a lot of attention that led to great opportunities for his teammates. When Kobe knew he could win titles, he sat his ass in the post and drew the attention necessary to make his teammates better than they were.

He didn't stat pad by dribbling out the clock and only passing to help his assist totals.

I mean I'm not saying anything however, I'm just saying, Shannon Brown with LeBron, finals sweep. Shannon Brown with Kobe, 2 time champion

But you know I'm just saying, not to say anything, but just to say it

What about Danny Green?

Not good enough to even make Bran's roster.

Becomes one of the best role players in the league and wins a title.

Oh boy one of the major oversights for LeGM

Won a ring over Bron's strategically put together super squad

Oh boy how does that taste LeBron

Shannon Brown was a great in-game dunker but sucked hard at the dunk contest.

The Lakers are not destroyed.

We still are the most passionate fanbase in basketball and our future core of Simmons/3'Angelo/Durant/Whiteside is looking strong.

Celtics meanwhile are relying on a 30% chucking midget to lead them to glory:roll:

You got one fluke title in 2008 C's fans. That doesn't make you relevant. Say hello to 20 more years of being shit.

Pau Gasol was stupid to get married. Should have waited to AFTER retirement so he'd be able to get with all the sluts and groupies guilt-free.

A Kobe-Lebron matchup would have been better in 2009 or 2010. Those were pretty much his last prime years.

The hoops some people will jump through to make excuses for 12be's failures. :facepalm

Lakers didn't 3peat cause Kobe choked BADLY in the last 2 games, being shut down by an ancient Jason Kidd of all people. :lol
no, you didn't watch the series.

kobe played his part, Gasol was soft af and had no impact whatsoever in the Dallas series.

:biggums: Back to back 17 point performances in must win road games is playing your part? :lol

Kobe had a semi decent game 1 (although he missed a wide open game winner) and then shit the bed 3 straight games. He alone is the reason the Lakers got swept.

The Heat would've absolutely raped the Lakers.
Idk which would be better, a Lebron-led team destroying a Kobe-led team, or DWade absolutely torching Kobe for an entire series.

Dafuq are you talking about? :wtf:

This thread is only peripherally about the Fakers. Its mainly about Shannon Brown and how his heroics saved ISH and the world from the calamity of a Kobe vs LeBron finals.

Praise Shannon Brown.
