Those stats are so close together it basically proves both men are what they are, incredible passers at the SF position. It's arguable on both sides. I believe what gives Lebron a slight edge in passing is the athletiscm coupled with his passing makes him able to make passes most guys physically can't.

Exactly Bird actually assisted players, Lebron just passes the ball to somebody either open or not behind the 3pt, and hope he makes it, and when a scrub like scrubdeladova shoots 3pt better that Reggie Miler, that really puts Lebron's playmaking in perspective.

Bird probably would have to quit basketball if he played today on the account of boredom.
