Warriors would get beaten by the 8th seed Rockets in a 7-game series without Curry.
Curry is Golden State.

All they would have needed from Curry tonight would be 2 pts to win the game.... Warriors couldnt have played any worse while Rockets at their home had the time of their life, still barely won with 1 point, with a gamewinner...

Rox are not a playoff team . Let play Warriors against Spurs w/out Curry , and see the difference .

What does that mean "Rox are not a playoff team"? They are in the actual playoffs this year and were in WCF last year, with the same core.

Did the warriors purposely sit Curry to increase his value and impact? After the first 2 games they know they are head and shoulders better than Rockets. I have a feeling they told curry to rest and with the loss it magnified how important he is.

correct. That's why he's the unanimous league MVP.

media voters are often unreliable
last year, a few of them tried to hand a finals mvp to a guy who shot 39% and lost
Jeff Van Gundy was one of the voters :lol

And that 39% shooter outvoted GAC 4-0. And a bench-warming teammate shut out GAC 7-0.

Iggy played 37 minutes a game...hardly a bench-warming teammate

Oh, I agree. I have seen some ridiculous voting in the past. BUT, when a player goes 0/11 in the voting...sorry, but that speaks volumes.

Kind of like when a players ppg drops by 12 from the reg season to the finals.
Speaks volumes about being an overrated chucker who couldn't get it done until he took a smaller role on offense.

Yeah, it says the media likes a story. A player winning MVP from the bench or a player winning MVP from the other team makes a better story than a player playing well but playing below expectations.
