It's the same guy. He used to be funny about 2 years ago or so.
I'm not sure what happened to him. He's positively boring right now. He's unfunny, unoriginal and as you said, seems to try too hard to make people laugh.
When someone does that, it's not a good look.

For the last few months we have been deleting a lot of old posts, including bunches of threads that haven't been accessed in years that had thousands and in some cases tens of thousands of replies each. So, any such graphs are useless and probably inaccurate.
