Serious question.

Take into consideration his career has suffered because he has knee problems. In his prime though. I can't think of another guard that was better.

If not the best, definitely top five. Only other prolific shot blockers I can think of off the top of my head are MJ and Dennis Johnson.

When he's motivated, he's the best shot blocker I've seen since Hakeem and Mutumbo regardless of size...hard to believe. His timing, quick reflexes, skill, and length is uncanny! Too bad he's 6'4" and out on the perimeter trying to contest 3pt shots and run around screens 90% of the time.

Lebron can't be a shooting guard cause he can't shoot

I'm biased but I would say yes, Wade is the best shot blocking guard ever. It's between him and Jordan. What makes Wade's shot blocking so impressive is he would routinely block much taller players. His timing and instincts were unreal. At 6'4 he was a legit rim protector. Another thing about his shot blocking is it was clutch. He's had a penchant for blocking shots at crucial moments.

Pound for pound most definitely.

hard to say he's the best. top 2 definitely with jordan. jordan has better blocking stats but jordan wasnt quite the rim protector wade was.

No one peaked higher than MJ (1.5 bpg over 3 year span) but considering height, I can say Wade. Wade did have more seasons of at least 1 bpg (6) than MJ (4).

Wade and Jordan are very similar in this way. Both very aggressive with great timing.

Yes.

I know him and Jordan are neck in neck statistically.

However, no guard in the history of the NBA often acted as an anchorman in the post and blocked big men at the rim like Wade.

No, heck pound for pound even LeBron is a better shot blocker

Jordan , D-Wade , Sidney Moncrief , Clyde Drexler

Yes. The difference between him and the GOAT is that the latter could block shots like a guard. But, Wade can block like a big (along with being to also block like a guard).

MJ was a weak-side, on-ball, and transition blocker. He generally wasn't throwing the ball back in the faces of centers at the rim when they tried to throw it down.

Wade has every block in the book. This is my favorite block of his of all time (unfortunately, it came in the game they lost the 2011 Finals):

That's a straight up Mutombo fingertip swat. Tyson Chandler has Haslem on his hip deep in the lane. He's supposed to be able to go up for an easy jump hook over the top.

He's NOT supposed to worry about a 6'4" guard as a last line of defense behind Haslem.

 He's not even the best shot blocker the Heat has had since Hakeem and Mutombo...Zo is by far. He averaged 2.7bpg in 20mpg in 2006.

Lebron is not a guard, Lebron blocked fewer shots in their primes, and Lebron is heavier.

If you were trying to be wrong in every imaginable way, you succeeded.

Do you even know how much each of them weighs??

Heck, Wade's chipmunk-sized cheeks already give him 10-15 pounds extra weight over Bron.

Duh cause Zo was in the paint 100x more per game and he jumped on almost everything. I'm talking about straight up skill.

The Heat have a guy right now who's a pretty good shot blocker too.

Zo and Whitseide are 2 of the best shot blockers ever and Wade is the greatest shot blocking guard ever. Miami = Block City.

It's not true, period. Wade is my favorite player in the league and this is straight up nonsense.

What are you trying to argue about? That Zo is a great shot blocker or that Zo is better than Wade at shot blocking by far? If the former, it's a known fact and no one is denying that. If the latter, it's my opinion and you won't be able to sway me away from it since both played different positions and had different roles. I don't comprehend "by far". Wade has all-time great timing at everything he did. Give him 6 more inches in height and length with his current skills, damn...he may be what Zo was but I don't agree with you saying Zo is by far a better shot blocker than Wade.

Lol at people trying to sneak Lebron into the shooting guard category.

I think Wade is.

Also the notion that LeBron is even in the same universe as Wade when it comes to shot blocking is absurd.

Even if Lebron WAS a SG it doesn't change the fact that Wade is a better shot blocker. Wade has higher career and peak bpg averages. Lebron isn't in this discussion, regardless of position.
