The NBA came down harshly Friday in its review of the officials' crunch-time calls -- or lack thereof -- in the Houston Rockets' Game 3, 97-96 win over the Golden State Warriors, saying James Harden's game-winning shot should not have counted.

It was among five incorrect calls in the last two minutes, the NBA said in its assessment of officials' late-game performance dubbed the "Last Two Minute Report."

On the replay from Thursday night's game, it appeared Harden pushed off Golden State's Andre Iguodala before converting a 10-foot step back jumper with 2.7 seconds to play. The league argued Harden initiated contact with Iguodala before hitting the basket.

Since it would have basically been the last play of the game, the NBA ought to do the right thing...and give the game to the Warriors.

It's now officially 3-0.

NBA and ESPN have no shame in their dickriding

Have they ever done anything like this for any of the countless Draymond moving screens within the last 2min of the game?

Nah, I like them admitting their mistakes.. of course it becomes tiring when they dont seem to change or seem to not care, knowing theyll just admit it afterwards anyway... they just seem to be biased with what they make public. That would have been a WEAK offensive foul.

Exactly. Or what about the Bogut armbar on Howard? I don't see them having any problem with that.

The NBA really wanted the Warriors to go 16-0, beat the Lakers record. They are .

This retroactive officiating needs to stop, because it's an endless hole. Either let the refs do their jobs (and make mistakes), or replace them with robots.

I'm a Warriors fan and I'm fine with the no-call. That one shot didn't decide the game.

What a joke.

When are they going to admit to all the offensive fouls and travels by Bran?

That's not a faul, if you were looking at it from a vacuum it's a 50/50 call at best. The contact is minor and it has mostly to do with Iggy not being able to keep up with Harden's ability to change the pace, as shown during the game. Add the fact that it happened with less than 5 seconds left on the clock in a tight playoff game and it's a clear no call.

Still as much as I'd like to see Houston upsetting GSW, that call(or no call) won't affect the outcome of this series

The NBA didn't specifically says "James Harden's game-winning shot should not have counted". This is a typical attention grabbing headline that make it seem the NBA have something against the Rockets or pro Warriors.

They basically reviewed the last two minutes for ALL CALLS AND NON CALLS and found five incorrect ones. That's it.

The bottom line...a Warrior team that played a horrific game SHOULD still be declared the winner.

Not at all. Look if this had been a game seven there would be a massive public outcry. I suspect the officials would have lost their jobs, and the league would be scrambling to come up with a new system.

And the thing is...it all occurred on basically the last play of the game (yes, I know... 2.7 secs remained.) So, the simple thing to do...just award the game to the Warriors. I understand some will argue that there would still have been 2.7 secs left, but it would have been Warriors ball, and it would have taken a million-to-one shot to somehow beat them under those conditions.

Instead, the Warriors now have to win five games in this series. Which they will, of course.

It will be just be a footnote...until a game seven...when it happens again.

Imagine playing against someone who played like that on the streets lol

By at least the third pushoff there would be words and some 80s style Laimbeer defense. But then again, he'd be the type to call a foul on every play to the basket.

lol the game is 48 minutes...Warriors blew the game by turning over the ball and missing shots the usually make, don't get why the league has to come out a day or two after the game and say the other team deserved to win when the game was already decided...just stupid.

I understand that Silver and Stern are not the same person, and that they'll do things differently.

But why are we pointing out that missed call, yet allowing Lebron's constant offensive fouls, and Wade's pump-fake-and-lean-in shots, and Jordan's famous push, and Durant's rip-through... all without calling out those players or referees?

I'm all about admitting/announcing missed calls. But do so for the entire game. Don't focus on just an instance or two. Be consistent, across the board. There is already enough perceived Warriors bias.

The NBA doesn't really give a shit, this means more games. They know the Rockets winning one just means more money. The Warriors won't lose this series.

The NBA hates sweeps.
