If only he had Kobe's mid-range shot, that would be a huge boost for him. He would be a lethal offensive weapon

To be honest he wouldn't need a mid-range shot if he was skilled in the post, but his footwork is terrible, always relied on overpowering his man..

LOL Kobe was one of the worst mid range shooters of this generation

you don't need mid-range, foot work or any thing that requires skills when you are allowed to do this on the court

He also has little to no low post game.

His jumper in general, and particularly his 3pt shot, has been a huge flaw the last 2 seasons. Will become more glaring as we get further into the playoffs and the competition gets stiffer.

He and the Cavs refuse to let Love continuously work out of the post because Love draws double and triple teams, which will eventually force Bran to have to shoot wide open shots and he can't shoot.

Only the last 2 seasons?... You're lying - Lebron shot less than 35% on 3-pointers for 8 of 13 seasons, so he's been a poor 3-point shooter for most of his career.

Ditto for his midrange efficiency - his midrange efficiency has been less than 40% for 10 of 13 seasons, as the stats show in previous post.

Those are the facts - Lebron had poor 3-point and midrange efficiency for most of his career.

LOL- LeBrons midrange in 2011 was better than all of Jordans seasons except 1997

This fact has 3ball mad

2011 LeBron midrange >>> just about every version of Jordan

You would see this becoming a glaring issue and/or hindrance verse teams out west, who are generally elite on both ends.

Luckily for him, Cleveland's not playing any legitimate threats out east.

So in other words, wait until the finals.

You're lying, just like Indian Guy - the only midrange stats we have for Jordan's Bulls career is 1997 and 1998.

Jordan's 1997 was much better than Lebron's career high, and his 1998 (43.3% from midrange) would rank 2nd in Lebron's career, even though he had a finger injury and couldn't straighten his finger.

Jordan's 1997 season ranks #1 on this list by a full 5 percentage points, and his volume is 3 times anyone else's.. His 1998 ranks 3rd on the list, despite playing through a severe finger injury where he couldn't straighten his finger.

Otoh, Lebron's midrange efficiency is below 40% for 10 of his 13 seasons, while his 3-point percentage is below 35% for 8 of 13 seasons.. The reality is that Lebron, Westbrook, Wade, Derozan and Butler all have poor 3-point AND midrange efficiency for most of their careers, yet they're still the top wing scorers because today's wide open spacing and hands-off defense allows athletic players easier access to the rim than ever before.

Today's spacing and hands-off defense would benefit MJ's athleticism the same way, except he had well-documented (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11713011&postcount=43) goat midrange efficiency, which would put him in Curry's category as a goat shooter, and gave him a similarly massive advantage over Lebron, Westbrook and company..

It's pretty funny actually, if majority on here would actually watch Cavs games and NOT just Lebron would realize that Irving probably uses(stiff arms) his left arm more than Lebron. It's just not so obvious because he's way smaller. He does it on the drives but when he's dribbling in a smaller area and protects the ball it really stands out.

.

Stop citing Jordan's 96 and 97 seasons, the short 3 point line made him a good 3 point shooter and opened up the rest of his game those seasons.

Anyone who understands this game beyond stats knows it. Thats why were not a fan of his. And its the reason why he constantly disappears when it matters
