View Full Version : Spurs would be a better team with LeBron instead of Kawhi

They would have easily won 70+ games

Kawhi can't create his own shot when defenses are focused on him. LeBron would create as well as find scoring opportunities for the Spurs.

So defensively they'd be the same but far more potent offensively as well

Probably not, because his defense is worse than Kawhi's and LeBron's jumpshot is too broken to benefit from the Spurs' system.

At best they'd be the same or a little worse. Way too much ball movement and team cohesion for a ball dominant player like LeBron to fit in 100%. He'd be great for them by virtue of being such a dominant player, but at this stage of their careers Kawhi is a better fit. And defensively it's not really that close, Kawhi is the best perimeter defender in the game bar-none.

Bron is just flat out a better player than Kaway.

2x NBA Champion > 1x NBA Champion
4x NBA MVP > 0 MVP
2x Finals MVP > 1x Finals MVP.Kawaii has one of the worst finals MVP statsline of all time.

no spurs historic defense would fall off and leiso would hijack the spurs free flowing offense.

Right, better all-time. Doesn't mean he's necessarily better now (although I still think he is), or would be a better fit for the Spurs.

Your arguments have all the nuance of a creationist talking about how the beauty of a ****in banana points to Gods handiwork. You're the Ray Comfort of this wretched forum.

Lebron would be a bad fit for the Spurs because the broken jump shot and lesser defense. But also he can't play off the ball, he has to dominate the ball and the Spurs don't do that. Lebron could not do whatever he wanted with a real coach like Popovitch. He would have to play within a real system.

Thank you for admitting that unlike your fellow Kobe fan boys.

Not a Kobe fan at all, have a begrudging respect for him. I don't need to worship star players to enjoy basketball.
