If Westbrook had MJ's pedestrian vertical he would be the best player in the league

Westbrook and Lebron lack instant explosiveness.

If you pay attention to their athletic plays, you'll notice they need a RUN start.

Lebron needs a running start - he can't posterize a 7 footer off a one-step vertical or straight vertical like Jordan did Shaq, Hakeem, and David Robinson:

He is. I would like to hear his thoughts on the matter at hand.

TBH, Westbrook has more of a 60s vertical.

They're both pretty heavy though... Russ is 6-3 but weighs as much as MJ/Kobe did, Lebron is 6-7 and weighs 240-250 and is past his athletic prime

I got sad seeing Westbrook not be able to dunk. Hopefully just tired.

Then seeing that dunk of Jordan on Barkley, it's like today's players are getting shorter and less athletic.

That would have been said if the Jordan gif happened today, and the Westbrook one happened 25 years ago.

it will be a hard pill to swallow for Westbrook fans, I have said it before and I will say it again, if you want to rely purely on physicality you are going to need some out of world raw numbers to ensure you don't just drop off a cliff.

Look at Lebron. Clearly noway near as athletic or explosive as he once was, but he started out with a dam near 43 inch vertical. He lost a step and some inches on his vert, but hes still hovering around that 38-40 inch mark with consummate ease. And thats being a whole 5 inches and 50lbs heavier than Westbrook.

A 6'2 guard with low IQ, sub-par skills and vision for a PG that at his absolute athletic peak only had a POVERTY 36.5 inch vertical, well dam, this isn't going to be a candle slowly losing its flame. Its a sudden poof into non-existence.

If Westbrook's vertical were a person, would you say that it would be unable to afford the commodities which are indispensably necessary for the support of life?

lmao dude you have been fooled by the loud noise he makes when he dunks, watch his dunks slowly lmao, this nikka lucky he got some long arms cos at a POVERTY 36.5 inches your gonna need em.

Its an absolute atrocity that he has somehow managed to fool people into thinking he is some kind of high flyer lmao.

:applause: :applause: This right here sums up Westbrook. Honestly the two things stopping him from being the GOAT are his poverty vertical and the rim height.

Westbrook is not a 2 legged jumper?

Anyway, how many 6'3" guys can tomahawk off 2 feet with no momentum and no time to gather.

Also, just makes you realize the athletic freak Jordan was:

Taller than Westbrook
Better vertical
Quicker
BBIQ exponentially better.

if a player wants to go up and play the ball by their body area instead of over the head.

so be it.
