Vertical Sources: Steph Curry's MRI on knee has returned negative, no damage, a Grade 1 sprain. Could miss two weeks.
Update:

The little boy WILL miss two weeks, at the very least.

Damn. Fortunately we're stacked enough to close out the C0ckrockets and possibly the Clippers.

I think it's worth the risk and they should consider it. Rockets pose no threat to them.

Nah nikka. Bogut and Ezeli are good, long as they're good Livingston can get us a game or two.

Blazers just need to extend 1 game, thats all we asking for. Curry should be back for game 5 or 6.

yeah that ain't happening since it says Curry will be revaluated in 2 weeks so he could be out longer. they ain't taking that risk.

Might be early enough. Warrior can certainly beat the Rockets without him, and maybe the Clippers as well, but they need him back for the Spurs. Not just back in a limited way either, but fully back.

Just because he is going to be reevaluated in 2 weeks doesn't mean he will be 100% and ready to play. Gunna be a hard series to win against the clippers

Yep shit... Hope the Blazers win tonight. I was hoping for 10 days with him getting 1 more extra day. Two weeks is 4 games, and that's assuming he doesn't need any more rest/time.

im reading that the 2nd round starts may 5th. do they generally start the 2nd round earlier if both matched up seeds finish the first round at the same time?

If Clips go up 3-1 tonight, both Clips/Warriors have their final series game on April 27th, which means Id think they start the second round on April 29th. Although, not sure how that plays out with 2 Eastern series' possibly still open at that point.

curry played with a bum ankle against the spurs few years ago and was a bad luck three from a game 7

i trust curry at even 80% against the clips brah. dubs took them 7 games without bogut or ezeli.

So I think Curry will start (if hes fine after his re-evaluation) game 4 in LAC...

GSW could be in a 1-2 hole, and Clips honestly win the game he returns in. He wont immediately have that impact, maybe disrupting them even a bit (not his fault, just the run up process after the injury that you need to go through).

Curry game relies so much on cutting and his jumper and if his knee isn't right it will limit his game and if he is still not 100% after two weeks the organization isn't going to risk further damage. My guess is it will be at least 3 weeks til he's able to play. But even without curry the warriors still have a very good team and home court advantage but the clippers do have a good chance of winning if he is out the whole second round.

Kerr wouldn't do something so stupid - gotta try to win every playoff game.

If LAC wins today and Wednesday and GSW closes out on Wednesday, don't they start their series on Friday [that's when games 6 and 7 (if necessary) in 1st round are scheduled] with game 2 on Sunday?

Isn't this a L/L situation for AMC?

If his team advances to the WCF without him, or even wins it without him (yeah right), wouldn't that be a proof that his team is stacked and can be superb without him?

If his team does not advance it's 73 without a ring... it will be remembered as a choke.

Robert Klapper said a Grade 1 sprain takes 2 weeks for an average human being with just rest and no treatment. He said it should take 5-7 days for an athlete and expects him back for the beginning of the series.

No one knows for sure, but I don't honestly see him being out longer than the 2 week period.

The universe is trying it's hardest to stop Nash from getting a ring, but Curry's knee should only be a minor setback this early in the playoffs.

The Clippers already lost to the Blazers once, so I can't imagine them beating the Warriors whether Curry plays or not.

They don't have anyone who can neutralize Klay, Livingston is too tall for CP3 to guard, and Draymond will be a handful for Blake.

What kind of idiot thinks that winning is a bad thing? Your logic is that winning proves Curry didn't carry the team all by himself? Well, no shit Sherlock :facepalm

I hope the Warriors sweep the Clippers w/o Curry. How's that for Curry fam? And I'm a huge Curry fan.

Naero

I'm not fretful about the Clippers series. The Warriors have less talent on paper, but they are still more well-coached and more cold-blooded when it counts the most.

The intradivisonal rival might start off strong and even get the upper-hand at some point; but as history has echoed, the closer they are to the Western Conference Finals, the more they play to avoid losing rather than playing to win. If anything, if I was a Clippers fan, I'd be worried about this injury, because now the Clippers have the pressure of potentially failing to capitalize off of Curry's injury to reach the elusive Western Conference Finals.

I'm only worried about: 1. If Curry can actually return before the Western Conference Finals; 2. If he can shake off the rust with the Spurs/Thunder looming. Lower-leg injuries can ruin his shooting-motion rhythm completely.
