Orthokine therapy was designed by Dr. Peter Wehling of Dusseldorf, Germany. He has treated numerous influential figures including Pope John Paul III (guess the holy powers didn

The therapy focuses primarily on Interleukin-1.

Essentially every immunosupressant agent works on IL-1.

This orthopedic surgeon (the first sign it's a load of shit) is a quack, and his therapy hasn't actually helped anyone.

Doesn't make any sense to me either. Why would you want to suppress the immune system when it's needed the most?

Because IL-1 is the key cytokine (or mediator) in the inflammatory response, so the logic here is that by suppressing it you can improve or reduce inflammation; the problem with Weheling's logic here is that osteoarthritis is not an inflammatory condition, it's a mechanical degenerative condition that happens to everyone. Thats why he's a quack. And if you try protein rich plasma on older people who naturally have a weaker immune system, you'll end up killing them by infectious diseases. Thats why Wehlings doesn't have a license to practice allopathic medicine; he's a fraud.

It worked pretty well for Kobe. He looked like crap in the 2011 playoffs. He came back to have 2 more solid seasons after orthokine before the Achilles tear.

He sucked in 2012 and 2013 man. Can you really attribute that to an illegitimate treatment, or can you attribute it more to strength and conditioning and nutrition?

Placebo effect, son.

That illegal doping Kobe had done caused him to have multiple career shortening injuries.

He was the 3rd best player in the 2012-2013 season. He made All NBA 1st team in the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 seasons. In the 2010-2011 season he never practiced and only played 33.9 MPG. The following 2 seasons he practiced regularly and averaged 38.5 & 38.6 MPG. Hell of a placebo effect. Curry sure can use that placebo effect as well. It will give him confidence and make him less apprehensive.

Nope. MDA played him too many minutes. He was fine before the Achilles tear.
