Just found out my mom had breast cancer. Have you or anyone you know ever lost a loved one to breast cancer? I know the odds are extremely low but I always have this "what if?" thought.

It all depends what stage the cancer is in, if it is stage 4 then I don't know the odds but I know is not good.

she had it or has it? If she caught it early i believe it's pretty treatable. good luck though cancer is a mother****er.

She's in her late 40s and got the test results today. We don't know if it's bad or not yet.

sorry to hear that you are going through this scary time. I had a family member diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and it was a pretty scary time for me. Lots of contemplating about mortality and life but it makes you mature and allows you to get past the stage of realization of death. The family member was a stage 3, went through chemo and is currently in remission. Just know that whatever happens, it is a process of growth and understanding and it will get better till one day it is no longer something that hurts.

You're such a worthless tw@t, kill yourself please.
Sorry to hear that bro. I really pray she has a full recovery. I would like to think breast cancer is definitely capable of being reversed, also depending on variables as in the stage she's in.
What I can say is, it will alter your life and depending on whatever outcome, you will gain knowledge on the importance of life itself far beyond the next man. You take that and grow throughout every day superior to the mentality you've acquired before this.

No man. Thank you. I had a HUGE argument with my mother today. We're actually not in the right as if, but reading this changed my stance a little.

I know how you feel. I get into arguments with my mom all the time, and this news hit me really hard today. Never really thought the chances of something happening like this were high. I already feel like I'm becoming a better person because of it ya know?

I've watched my best friend, family members, and pets die from cancer. If this kid is serious, this is the last place you should be getting information. Just wait for further information from the physician about the stage before you go off the end either way.
Go **** yourself ~PT~.

Of course. My mother is a best friend, that's how it should be. I normally don't ever argue with her. Your mother is young, she will definitely have the ability to recover, it's the sources you need to look at. What treatment, the best doctors, the best hospitals, start being wiser financially here on out, check her insurance if she has one and verify it covers bills. It'll give you responsibility. I don't think it'll come back once it's gone.

Maybe he just wants to talk about it, who cares. You just can't miss an opportunity to call someone out. You're pathetic.

I don't agree with that approach or terminology. "The ability to win", "just have to be a fighter", etc. because it insinuates those that succumbed to the disease lacked ability or didn't fight. Cancer always kills, remission is only a reprieve; it always wins. You just have to do your best to catch it early, make it through treatment, and hope/pray for the best.

You're never cured. You're in remission. Tumor removal and chemo can lead to decades of remission if you're lucky, but you're never in the clear.

Dam.. This is disturbing.. I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone, I'm guessing it's probably worst than AIDS in terms of vitality?

Large amounts of plant/digestive enzymes may help her battle. The immune system is in the gut, so if her digestive system if working optimally, her chances of survival are far greater. Good luck.
