Damn, you'd never think he'd get this good and we'd be saying this... But it might be a reality.

Would have never thought this could happen back in 2012-2014

We in the OKC fam don't get involved in this immature shit. Shut this thread down, Jeff. :coleman:

Based on arguably equal regular seaasons, if not better for Westbrook (24/11 is a lot more points accounted for than 28/5 or whatever Durant put up)

And this first round

Has been for a while. He always had the ball more and took more shots. Its just now the level of play between the two is near equal

I mean, the stats in this first round are startling... Especially the advanced ones..

No. I'm a bigtime Westbrook fan and I will be the first to tell you that certain teams match up better against Durant than they do Westbrook. Mavericks are one of those teams. Obviously that list of teams is small. Spurs are another, I can see them putting Kawhi on Westbrook and Green on Durant to disrupt Westbrook though. Look for it.

Yup. It's been his team for a lot longer than people like to admit. If Westbrook continues to pass the way he has in the playoffs, Durant can be replaced with role players. I think Westbrook could lead a team of role players to the playoffs better than Durant.

I'm biased tho. Goatbrook is my favorite player along with Davis.

put westbrook and KD on a table, which one would GM pick?

KD.

If it's not, it will be soon anyway. No way KD stays with OKC, so Westbrook will have that team all to himself in a few months.

Hmmm... Were you one of the many ignoramuses on 2+2 who thought Kyrie was better than Westbrook back then?

When I said Westbrook was EASILY better, you guys thought I was clueless... But as it turns out - everything I said back then was spot on, and you guys had no clue about the game (and still don't).

Damn, you'd never think he'd get this good

Westbrook is poor man's Jordan with an inferior vertical:

Compare to regular Jordan:

:biggums:... Just because YOU couldn't see Westbrook's ability, don't assume other people couldn't.

It makes sense that a poor man's Jordan would be the best player in the game (as of today) - Westbrook thrives in today's game, even though he's 3 inches shorter than Jordan, not nearly as smart, a much worse shooter (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=12320375&postcount=29), and can't jump as high.

Enjoy those facts

Westbrook is nowhere near the best player in the game you idiot, regardless of these 4 games of the playoffs.

Curry, Lebron, KD are all clearly better. Kahwi, CP3, and healthy Anthony Davis are all debatable.

And when WB had the team all to himself for the most part in 2015 he nearly averaged a triple double but missed the playoffs. His impact doesn't match his stats, which is very similar to Ordan.

Curry and Lebron> Ordan.

if Westbrook had a 40in vertical and didn't get stuffed by the rim he would probably be goat.

The only player in the league that is "clearly" better than Westbrook is Curry.

None of those guys are MUCH better than Westbrook, but Jordan was.

Jordan never missed the playoffs and went 6/6 with 6 FMVP's.

So you have no clue what you're talking about and sound like a crazy person saying crazy things.

Curry and Lebron> Ordan

This is Curry's first season being the NBA's best offensive player, so he has 9 more seasons (in a row) to catch MJ - therefore, he isn't worth comparing to Jordan.

As for Lebron, Jordan averaged 5-7 more ppg in the playoffs and Finals (respectively) on better efficiency across the board (TS, FG, ORtg).. There's never been a #1 option that averaged 5-7 more points on better efficiency that wasn't considered the FAR better player.

Jordan's 5-7 ppg advantage with better efficiency is worth more than Lebron's 1.0 assist advantage (Jordan had lower turnovers) and 2.5 defensive rebound edge (Jordan had higher offensive rebounds).

Ordan

It's statistical fact that Jordan was a much better shooter than Curry inside 20 feet:

.....................MJ 1997 (http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/893/stats/shooting/?Season=1996-97&SeasonType=Regular%20Season)...................Cur ry 2015 (http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/201939/stats/shooting/?Season=2014-15&SeasonType=Regular%20Season)............ Curry 2016 (http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/201939/stats/shooting/) <--- link to nba.com data

5-9 ft.......... 49.2%, 126 fga........... 40.3%, 72 fga.......... 48.6%, 72 fga

10-14 ft....... 51.5%, 466 fga........... 52.9%, 85 fga.......... 50.9%, 57 fga

15-19 ft....... 49.5%, 594 fga........... 43.9%, 132 fga........ 37.3%, 102 fga

Overall midrange % (all shots inside the 3-point line but outside the paint)

JORDAN 1997:. 49.3%, 1202 fga
JORDAN 1998:. 43.2%, 1164 fga
CURRY.. 2015:. 41.1%, 285 fga
CURRY.. 2016:. 42.5%, 200 fga

Got damn, so much bullshit I don't even now where to start. He's clearly NEAR the best player in the game. How is he not?

The only one clearly better out of those listed is Curry. Stop it.

You're straight up trolling with the last part. Westbrook missed a ton of games himself last season in addition to KD missing games and still barely missed the play offs. When he was actually on the floor, he was easily on pace to making the play offs. Put down the pipe son and step your basketball knowledge up. Shit is embarrassing.

Clearly better, but not 'much' better. Just like 10 is clearly higher than 9, but not much higher...
