Curry, CP3, Blake :wtf: I watched the Blackhawks vs the Blues hockey game and no one got injured. A game where people punch each other and slam into each other. Not one injury :oldlol:

NBA tries so hard to make the game as soft as possible for the players, yet key guys get injured ...maybe they need to replace the hardwood with those trampoline floors

bigger, faster, stronger. Players are taking PED's. PED's improve strength, speed, muscle recovery. But they don't improve your frame. They don't improve the maximum tensile strength of your tendons. Its like overclocking a computer. Sure it can run just fine, possibly never have any problems. But across the board, there is a higher incidence of failure in overclocked systems.

Maybe compare them with footy players, wear the same uniform basically. But obviously, this is a contact sport.

Natural selection man.

In the past you didn't make it into the league if you weren't thick boned and strong.

Remember most guys played college for 2-4 years back then so you sort of knew if a guy was injury prone.

Today, they draft only on speed and 'skillz' and don't have the college period to asses how players bodies hold up.

Tougher than softba players. They take that shit off when they fight. Open face helmets they get sticks and pucks to the face. Plus they are known to get stabbed/ cut by skates. How many nhl players have a full set of teeth?

hockey player here.

The nice thing is if you fall you just slide a bit. That takes a ton of energy away from the impact.

Your ankles are pretty much locked into place in the skates.

Those errant pucks though... They hurt like a b*tch. I've never been caught in the throat or face by a puck.

Basketball just has a lot of activity that is conducive to getting injured much more so than hockey. Slipping on wet spots, players fouling when another player is airborne, grappling for rebounds, etc.
