This might be a good idea. It would bring back the dying art of the mid range shot. What are your thoughts? Sorry in a hurry and can't put up numbers.

Corners threes will be the thing. Can't move the shot back any further from there.

Why not? If its not 23'9" it shouldn't be worth 3. The corner 3 is wildly important and there is no reason for it to be. Its just that its so easy to make and worth more points than a longer shot everywhere else on the floor.

So Curry and Klay can hit threes while no one else can?

Won't make any difference.
All the great shooters will just make the proper adjustments and change there form to accommodate the new distance.
Muscle memory and all that...

3 point game is the new standard, watching big guys drop a ball in the hoop is an old archaic way of playing the game. The number one thing you need to succeed in that playstyle is being tall. OH WOW, SUCH SKILL, SUCH TALENT. Basketball has changed to encompass the skillsets of players big and small, skinny and muscled.

Nothing needs to be changed

Do people not get how it will destroy/tarnish the future generations' legacy?

Old bags referring to Curry: The game has gotten softer which is why x & x.

& somehow this current generation will find a way to belittle the future ones, it's f*CKING TIRING.

Lilliard and George would hit them, too.

What is this obsession with bringing back the midrange shot? Why is it that it needs to be a staple or requirement for everyones game?

Statistically, the 3 pointer is a better shot. You should try and take a 3 instead of a long two most of the time if you can.
