Won with Shaq in a rigged/meaningless series. Outside of that 1 year he hasn't done much of anything. He's mostly just a first round fodder type player. Without Shaq/LeBron, he's just another Gilbert Arenas.

'08? You might be too young to remember it, but that team was current 76ers level bad with an injured Wade, who played only 50 games. Actually, that team was worse than the current Sixers.

Peak Wade was top 2 all-time at his position ahead of the Brick Mamba as a two-way legend. But that's only peak, peak Wade.
He's a very hard player to judge career-wise because of how bogged down he's gotten by injuries and how ungracefully his offensive game has really aged and continues to age, and how he does only have the 1 semi-alpha ring with a Shaq who was still the best big in basketball and one of the greatest Robins in history. Not to mention that fact that he hasn't won a playoff series since the '06 Finals as the best player on his team, which like it or not, includes '11.

Except his roster isn't solid. Whiteside has really struggled defensively, partly because he is hobbled (and very inexperienced), Dragic has been complete trash, and is being exposed in the playoffs like I thought he would; the rooks are struggling in the playoffs like rooks often do, and JJ has been shitty too. They're also missing their best pick and roll defender, floor spacer, and guy they gave a max contract to in Bosh. So, added to Dragic being invisible, that's like $40+ million of salary not doing a thing.
The only guy on the team that has stepped up is Deng. That's not a "solid roster"--it's a shit one. They're relying 30+ mpg on a couple of rooks with no offensive games to speak of; that is not the sign of a "solid roster"

I like Wade's game a lot and he was a absolutely beast in his good years, but what he did last night was ridiculous. He was so chocked he was running away from the ball in the last plays, he didn't want anything to do with it and then he passed to a heavily guarded Dragic to bail him out, he did the same previously passing to Josh freaking Richardson, the rookie. As I said, I like him but he choked really bad.
PS: Wasn't him the guy suppose to boxout Lee? I mean it's the second game in a row the Heat loses because someone doesn't boxout Lee. And I think both times it was Wade's assignment, but I'm not sure.

Did you guys start watching basketball yesterday? Wade scored 4 points when the Hornets were up 1 to give the Heat a 3 point lead. After that, Wade was basically getting doubled and tripled EVERY single time he touched the ball. Yet, he grabbed an offensive rebound on Dragic's shot and got fouled, which the refs didn't call. He was the teams best offensive and arguably the teams best defensive player.
PS: Wasn't him the guy suppose to boxout Lee? I mean it's the second game in a row the Heat loses because someone doesn't boxout Lee. And I think both times it was Wade's assignment, but I'm not sure.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XICXdA3V2LQ
Watch the play again. Josh Richardson was trying to box out 7'0" Zeller and Wade went to help on him. Richardson/Whiteside were supposed to switch onto Lee after he rebounded the ball and neither did. That play just showed the team's lack of experience. Can't really blame Whiteside or Richardson though. They've never been in those situations (pressure included).

I thought he played well overall last night. I'm more disappointed with the 2 games on the road. Especially game 4. Only 12 points on 4-11 shooting. Not enough shots. He has to be more aggressive and ball out on the road. But Wade has a habit of coasting way too much and picking his spots as of late. He did it a lot when he played with Lebron.

Wade continuously choked late in games in 11. and why the fck do u keep bringing up Wades missed 3 Dude is a career 28% 3pt shooter, no sht he missed a running near halfcourt 3pter at the buzzer
Yeah, and if that goes in, Wade has 4 rings and 2 FMVP's. Dirk? Ringless.
Dirk never had a player anywhere near as good as Shaq or Bran. He couldnt have a series as sht as Wades 2011 series VS Chicago and hope to get to the next round
Look up his stats from his MVP season first round series. WOAT series for an MVP.

The truth is to me, on an all-time scale I really feel like Wade and Kobe get a level of respect that Dirk doesn't get. And while I do think it's true that Dirk at his best was definitely inferior to each of those guys at their best as an all-around on-court impact, I think the gap is smaller than some would have you believe.
Current Dirk is better than current Wade if you want to be a winning team, and his game aged predictably well. Few notes about '07, that Warriors team matched up extremely well with that Mavs team and was one of the only squads to get the better of them in the 2006-07 regular season. That 8-seed upset was actually being seriously talked about before the series even started (I predicted Dallas in 7), it's not like it shocked the world the way you would think a typical 67-win team losing would.
GSW took either 3 or 4 games from them during the regular season by just out-athleticizing them and weren't a good matchup for them. It was not a great showing from Dirk, but this was... probably the only team that was going to beat them in the playoffs that season. At the very least, the Spurs owe that Warriors team a huge thank you for further paving what was already an historically easy finals road for them. The only team that was realistically capable of beating them, they avoided.

You actually think Wade "always" "was/is" significantly better than Dirk?
:wtf:
I was conversing with an idiot.

LOL @ crapping on his teammates. Guys like Dirk would kill for a roster like this
Idiot. Dirk won a game against the Thunder putting up 17 points on 19 shots (2 tos and only 4 rebounds in 38 minutes!). Wade would kill for his team to win playoff games with him playing that poorly.
Yes, a team heavily reliant on 2 rooks (one, a 40th pick, who finished the other night over Dragic, the guy was so bad, and the other who can't shoot at all), and another guy who is so lacking in NBA experience as to also be a rook, and missing its best pick and roll defender and floor-spacer is something Dirk would "kill for"
You're such a f*cking moron it's unreal. Pointing out the reality of the situation is not "crapping on teammates"--I like Richardson and Winslow and Whiteside, but they are very inexperienced, and have no playoff experience. Dragic, on the other hand, is just plain garbage.

The amount of disrespect that Wade is getting is crazy these days. Dude is an all time great in my eyes and deserves respect.

dirk spaces the court much better than wade .. so what his teammates did in any given game isnt in a vacuum.
and damn heat fans are losing it.. the mavs roster was even more pathetic than the grizzlies outside dirk. The PG rotation, their starting center, justin anderson ... list goes on :facepalm
This heat team is infinitely more talented, theyre just underperforming.. heat arent on that dirk / carlisle level of leadership though.

Yeah i mean people are acting like 2015 and 2016 Wade is what he always was as a player, when in reality he was a top 5 player or better in his healthy prime seasons.
